Baby was conceived in a Zika hot zone! I just plan on mentioning it to my doctor. And yes also wearing mosquito repellent, the mosquitoes here are huge! Not because of Zika but because I hate being a hot itchy mess lol.
It's not a issue in my area but hubs traveled to Zika prone area while TTC. I will tell the doc and just get tested. They also do an additional ultrasound at 28 weeks as precaution.

I will be just wearing repellent because mosquitos love me. I live in the north east and still would rather be safe than sorry. My dr said to be cautious because Zika will end up here eventually. We have mosquitos, it's inevitable. I would much rather not worry about every little bite.
Does anyone have experience with how effective the wristbands or clips are at repelling? Maybe I am crazy, but I am paranoid of the sprays while pregnant.

anymax I have no idea about the bracelets but ask your dr what they consider safe. After seeing the effects of Zika on those poor babies, I am willing to risk a spray that the dr says is fine.

anymax I am a science nerd and I usually eye roll at things like essential oils BUT lemon eucalyptus oil (or naybe just eucalyptus?? I forget) is actually scientifically proven to prevent mosquito bites and it is endorsed by the CDC if you are looking for a more natural option :-)

The button ones use eucalyptus, actually, so good to know! Thank you!
