Hi! Another NC girl here too- obviously.
So fascinated that you have been with us all these years...makes you wonder who else is out there and how much they know about us. But you don't seem like a dude in pajamas so I don't have the creeps from you. : )
Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt! By the way, you sound like an awesome administrator to work for. I'm sure your school is so thankful to have you!
As far as being here this long, it's just been such a saving grace. Physically, my pregnancy was easy enough, but as a PGAL-er, I needed to read about other people who understood my struggles and had the same fears, as well as just regular pregnancy stuff. As I said above, Em was a tough newborn-hated the carseat and baths; we bounced her on a yoga ball or did the 5 s' constantly; were up around the clock with her; wouldn't take bottles, etc. I felt like the friends who had babies before me had somewhat forgotten the newborn days or had easier babies. You guys were in thick of it right when I was and had such insightful, useful knowledge vs the old-school stuff everyone IRL was giving me. It made me feel confident in my parenting choices, which was huge. Then, there was just no quitting you guys as the babies got older.
Overall, lurking TCF has made me such a more understanding, open-minded person, and I love that. I can't remember if you're from here originally, but I'm sure you know that growing up here doesn't lend itself to making you the most open-minded.
Sorry that got so long, but I know others have the same thoughts as you did.
