DS1 is 3 now. He's incredibly smart and exerting his independence. Everything is "I can do it all by myself." He's hilarious though and really keeps us on our toes.
DS2 is 8 months. He's still very sensitive, but he doesn't scream all day (most days). We trials dairy two weeks ago, and that was a big fat fail. So I remain DF, and as long as I don't have dairy, he's a pretty happy baby. We have even been able to discontinue the nexium. We are still working through his newly diagnosed asthma though. He's standing unassisted already, and it seems like he's going to be an early walker. 😁
AFM, I am still navigating life with PPD/PPA. Some days are better than other. We are going on vacation in June with DH's family to the mountains in Tennessee. And DH and I booked a kid-free vacation to London, Paris and Rome, but it's not until February. At least we have something to look forward to!
My dad is going through another bout of cancer and my mother has been very sick with pneumonia. My husband is away for 2 months training so my sisters have been a life saver.
DS1 was doing very well but has had some major setbacks due to early intervention which we were trialing. So we are contemplating going back to CHOP this summer. To say my heart is broken would be an understatement. We are still trying to get him off a bottle with milk, he does drink water from a straw or sippy. He's gonna go to college this way I'm pretty sure;)
DD is doing well she's almost done with yr 1 of preschool. She's almost writing her name and can read many words so now I have to stop spelling things to other adults:( she even knows how to spell fuck. She figured that out on her own. DS2 is growing but not walking and he says many words and carries on with his siblings. He is a constant crier and complainer and I basically I'm at the end of my rope with him. We also went to a sleep doctor and they basically told me I ruined him by rocking. So I'm trying to fix that it's going great;( doctors must not have children. Can't wait for summer when I have to entertain all 3 24/7.
I am prob having hernia surgery in Sept so trying to lose weight. And I'm trying to come to terms with tying my tubes I just am not there yet. My heart isn't ready to close this chapter even though my brain knows it's the right thing to do. I would have a 4 in a second if I knew it would go smoothly and I wouldn't be harming my body worse than it already is. Also ds1 requires a lot and adding another human wouldn't be fair to everyone. I just feel cheated due to my losses and the situation DS2 was born into.

Getting the hang of 2 kiddos over here. DS is 2... I can't believe it. He is so fun and sweet except when he's not haha. Typical toddler tantrums about the stupidest things. His speech is exploding. Lots of 3 and 4 word phrases.
DD is 3 months and time is flying by. She is such a sweet and chill baby. Thank goodness bc I feel like I often have to leave her on the playmat or in bouncer to tend to/play with DS. Spits up like it's her job though... we go through so many outfit changes (her and I) and burp blankets each day. I hope she outgrows reflux faster than DS.
We need to plan something fun this summer. I'd love to go to the beach but the beach just isn't the same with 2 littles IYKWIM 😂 Maybe we can come up with something else fun.
Hey everyone! DS is 21 months now. He's been adding more words which is exciting. He's very into helping rought now and I've even figured out he'll stop throwing a tantrum if I ask him to help me with something.
I graduated this month Summa Cum Laude! Very proud of that and also so happy to be done with school.
Things are moving along in my surrogacy journey. I've been matching with a couple outside the US. I flew to the clinic last week for my medical evaluation, and have an appointment this week with my OB to get them to fill out some paperwork. Then we'll finish the legal work and move towards scheduling a transfer.
DS1 is 5 and finishing up Pre-K. He has a little more than 2 weeks left and has learned so much. He amazes me. He really is THE best big brother. He likes to help DS2 with everything and absolutely loves him.
DS2 was 2 in March. He's still receiving bi-weekly speech services. He's definitely catching up on his expressive language and doing awesome. Let's just call him hell on wheels. He's so fresh, but his cuteness seems to get him free passes on some things. He's obsessed with airplanes, trucks, Batman and snacking. 😂
DS3 is 5 months. How did that happen? I have a love hate relationship with watching him grow. He is the happiest little thing and always smiling. We're both doing great with BFing and it's been such a bonding experience (older ones were FF). He's starting to sit up. He loves his big brothers and laughs at every thing they do.
I'm 6 months into being a SAHM. Some days I miss my job, but all in all I wouldn't want to miss the time I get to spend with the boys and everything I get to do with them. I'm so busy with them every day, but so need to try to find a little bit more of a schedule. DS1 will have 14 weeks off before he starts full day K. It's going to be a long summer for me with 3 LO's, but I'm going to be so sad when he's in school ALL day! It also helps to have more time to visit family. My dad is still undergoing treatment for brain cancer, but he's tolerating it pretty well so far. We have no idea how soon before it grows back, so just taking everything one day at a time.

karabear4409 sorry the dairy was a no go, but good to hear no more Nexium. Definitely sounds like you're going to be in some trouble real soon! Both vacations sound great.
turquoisequeen I can't say 3 was better than 2 age-wise, but know that 4 was definitely better. LOL! We did the beach quite a bit with 2 LO's and it wasn't too bad. They had so much fun! I'll let you know about 3 though. 😉
ampaints oh yes, love to help out at that age. Congrats on being done school and the distinction. Amazing accomplishment! Hope everything goes well with the surrogacy process.

My son is FINALLY getting a little easier. He sleeps longer than an hour now (for about 4 weeks he was waking up every 30minutes at night and didn't nap at all) and he enjoys leaving the house so that = happy baby. He's down to only nursing about 6 times in a 24 hour period, too, so that makes life easier. We started TFAS while we wait to do another IVF cycle. I don't have much hope that we'll conceive naturally but it doesn't hurt to try. Not much else going on here!

turquoisequeen my plan is to EBF until his first birthday, then start to wean. I figure it will take about a month to wean. I have to go back on to medicine that's not safe for BF, so I will not be making it in to extended BF territory. But, I can't wait for the day that I can have cheese fries and a milkshake!

ampaints I really admire you for being a surrogate. That's such an incredible gift to give to someone, and given your own history with IF, it makes your gift even more special. It's such a selfless thing to do.

Thanks four saying that. It feels like good closure on my child bearing journey. It is giving me a wonderful sense of peace that I didn't have for the longest time.
Sorry I was absent. I lost my password, but have been checking in! Hope everyone is okay!
Life is crazy. We are moving!!! DH ended up accepting the job in seattle and we are off. I've been totally absorbed in all things move and I'm freaking out, but we are excited. So, who wants to buy my house in noVA?

I'm jealous! It's been two weeks and we've had amazing traffic and great feedback (beautiful kitchen, amazing basement, wonderful community...), but no offers. One thing keeps coming back- our lot stinks. It's on a busy street in our neighborhood and we've got a large drain the back yard. It's just bad luck, I guess. It's got great trees and privacy, but I can't do anything about the size or street traffic. The realtors keep telling mine it's between us and another and we just keep losing out! I'm just ready to get this thing sold so I can focus on getting us across the country, moved into temporary corporate housing and (hopefully soon!!!) into a new place! We might knock the price down this weekend to get it to move. :-(

Oh no sorry to hear that. Hopefully a buyer will come soon. Sucks that there isn't really anything you can do about those issues.
