Susan0utLoud we are struggling with all transitions from one thing to the next so I think I'm going to buy a timer and have him set it. Willing to try anything.

I'm just as a loss with what to try. It doesn't help at all that they share a room. Ugh.

We are going to try a timer too. DS is dragging out bedtime. Everything is "one more minute" when we tell him to stop playing and it's time for bed or it's time to stop sitting with me and get into his crib. Bedtime is taking longer and longer...
athn64 food allergies are the worst. I am sorry. Let me know if I can help
Thanks. Right now, I'm trying to figure out the menu since it's supposed to be brunch and she's allergic to eggs and possibly milk. I do have a good eggless pancake recipe already, but I want her to be able to eat more than one thing.
Any chance you know a good milk and egg free "ice cream"?

I didn't even offer ice cream, just cake. You could even do pie or cobbler if there's more options that way.

We didn't do ice cream for DD1 so it's not a certainty for DD2. But my family loves to do ice cream in the summer so I'm trying to plan ahead just in case. Doing a fruit pie might be a good idea though....

An apple tart or blackberry cobbler sounds like a delicious breakfast food. Banana pancakes?

Breakfast meats, fruit tray, water ice or sherbet instead of ice cream? Maybe homade cereal bars or rice crispy treats?

athn64 hasten dazs make a raspberry sorbet that Dd1 really likes. Another option would be to,have freezies in the summer for Dd2 to have (my kids love them).
If you need help, with dairy free stuff, just ask me. babybarlow2014's M14 lo is also allergic to dairy. There is a mom on d15 who's lo is allergic,to milk, eggs, soy and a bunch of other stuff. I can tag her in here too if you want.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Thanks to everyone who's suggesting stuff. DH is stuck on an egg bake and I'm over here with a wtf face trying to tell him that our allergy kid should be able to eat at her own party. We're such newbs at this, I'm still working on checking labels becoming second nature.

I don't sorry. Ice cream is pretty much off the table for us. But sorbet may be a good option!

I would definitely still make the egg bake for adults. My kid won't eat quiches or eggs outright so I don't think she's missing out by not eating every single item served. If it's like my kid- he's too busy playing to eat and will eat applesauce when everyone leaves.
1. Back at work and find out another lady is complaining about weekends and either wants to only work some or will quit. It is BS because as part time you are expected to work ad I feel they will give in to her. Going to work some more on my resume and hand it out tonight.
2. It was nice spending time with Peyton and she clearly needed it. This morning she was sad and said that she did not want me to go to work.
3. Weather seems to be turning and should be nice for the whole week.

athn64 haagen dasz (oops I don't even know how to spell that anymore!) mango sorbet is also really good.
Do you already know (more for future possible baking than for this birthday menu probably - though muffins could be good for a brunch) that you can use flaxseed meal as an egg substitute in many baked things? It's great in banana bread!
