I got to work about 30 min ago and by some miracle, W was still sleeping. He just woke up, came down and opened the door at the bottom of the stairs smiling. Took one look at Z and I, frowned and closed it again. Sorry to disappoint, kid 😂

Going to E's last day of school party so WFH today. The best part of the morning? Drinking my own coffee and eating s''mores pop tart. It's weird being in the house without anyone else.

It's officially summer break so I need to Pinterest some ideas to keep these kids busy. Girl twin is feeling pretty crappy today with a cold so we will probably take it easy today.
I'm trying one of those float pods on Saturday and I'm super curious to see how I feel afterwards!

My face exploded today. I'm going to try to get into the little clinic.
Sinuses?
I'm guessing. It's been a weird week. I've had a migraine, sinus drainage, a sore throat (like can't swallow), and diarrhea (cha cha cha). Not sure if related. Not sure what to even mention lol.

Post nasal drip definitely messes with my stomach sometimes and congestion often makes my head hurt

babylove518 report back on the float pod! M is about the same age as the twins and he's really getting into games now. It may be hard to incorporate E into some of those. What about doing scavenger hunt type stuff at a park or nature trail? M loves finding pinecones, helicopters, cicada exoskeletons (lol), etc.
Someone tell me what to do about this birthday party because I've done enough adulting for the week. The forecast is 90% chance of rain. Thunderstorms in the morning, and scattered storms in the afternoon (party is in the afternoon).
Option 1: Have the party. Pray the rain stops in the afternoon. Keep the food inside or in the garage, set up tables in the garage, the ice cream truck can still come and kids can eat ice cream in the garage, but the bounce house may just sit there in the rain. We do have the small bounce house kids can play on inside. We could be flexible with timing so if it looks like there's going to be a gap in the rain and people want to come early or stay late to let the kids jump, that's ok.
Option 2: Postpone the party. The bounce house contract can be rescheduled for another day in the event of rain, but not holidays. So Monday is probably not an option. We could maybe move it to next weekend but we'd have to schedule it around the neighbor's grad party or parking might be too difficult on our street.
Option 3: Cancel. Lose half the cost of the bounce house.

Sorry . Hope you feel better soon before the 3 day weekend!!!

I would do option 1. How many people though? Will they fit inside? I have those tailgating tents, so if needed, you could extend your rain cover into the driveway. If it's scattered, there's a good chance there will be time to bounce.

JoBub how many guests are coming? If it were me, I'd just pray for no rain (because who can really predict in Ohio) but have a backup indoor/garage plan. But if it would be too much of a hassle you should cancel. You're also in 3rd trimester, so if you don't want to have 39673715 people in your house then you shouldn't have to!

JoBub I would go for option 1. TBH, my kid would probably jump in the rain. I can bring chairs if you need more. I think we have 4 folding/camping style and about 10 regular folding chairs from ikea.

So yesterday H realized a filling he has is cracked/loose and he's going to the dentist today. He's stopping by home before he goes and I convinced him to bring me a donut when he does ::preens::
Guests are mostly you guys. Out side of this group, I invited a couple old neighbors, and I was going to invite friends from work but decided against it when I realized it might rain and I might need to keep it small. So I think there's room for everyone even if we have to be inside. Just not a ton of things for the kids to do. Maybe I'll try to come up with some kind of craft activity for the kids in case of rain. And I think mine would be fine with playing in the rain too if it's not a full blown thunderstorm. We'll just get all the beach towels out and everyone bring a change of clothes.
