Ugh DC dropoff did not go well. He didn't want to go in the room. I had to carry him in while he was grabbing the door frame trying to stay in the hallway. Got him inside and he wanted to just cling to me and cry. So I gave him a hug and was trying to get him to talk to his teachers to get him distracted like "tell Ms. A who is coming home today! Maybe he has a present for you!" and then when I went to hang up his back pack, he ran out of the classroom... and nobody moved a muscle to stop him. Like WTF? I get that I'm his mom and I'm still here, but isn't it kind of your job to keep the children in the room?
So he runs down the hallway, and I went after him. One of the infant teachers was out there working on a bulletin board and he knows her because they've been letting him visit the infants to get ready for baby brother. So he parked himself on a bench next to her, and she offered to take him to visit the preschool room (which he gets to start next week) and we said goodbye in the hallway and she handled it. Thank god for that woman, because there's no way I was going to convince him to go back in his room.
I texted H and told him if the preschool teachers aren't more helpful at dropoff, he needs to address it like day 1. But I'm hoping things will be better there because he seems to really like going to the preschool room.
If it wasn't his last day in that room (and my last day doing drop offs) I probably would have gone and talked to the teachers about it. But I'm done. It's H's problem now.
About to go back to sleep. Sleep was crap last night.
So my getting my haircut today (OOT friend is coming over and convinced her hairdresser to come over and cut both our hair at my house). What in the world should I do?! I always do the same thing, trim a couple inches, add layers, side bangs. Soo if all else fails I'll do that lol.

Shorter? Less maintenance? You know I'm all about the bob/lob

Shorter is more maintenance on me because I have weird waves and it needs to be blow dried and straightened to look decent. I need enough length for a ponytail/bun. But maybe an angled lob if you can keep some length? Is your hair naturally pretty straight, or do you flat iron it?
With all the ruckus over DC dropoff I forgot to whine about sleep. The first day all week my kid decides to sleep past 6am, and of course it's the day I had to get up extra early anyway because I was too tired to take my shower last night. And as if that wasn't frustrating enough, my dog was awake at 4:40 (my alarm was set for 5:00) whining to go out. I was like "PLEASE just pee on the carpet. I don't even care. Just STFU for 20 more minutes!"
I hope H is nice and jetlagged so he's not tired when we get home tonight and I can go straight to bed and sleep in late tomorrow.
My little has been getting up at like 11,3, and 5:30. He'll sleep one more hour to 6:30 but he already woke me up. I'm getting so sick of it. He was sleeping so well. It's just a shit show.

lindsay I wouldn't do anything too drastic because of the impending PP hair loss coming your way. You never know what your hair will do when it's thinning out.

I tossed and turned most of the night, along with weird pregnancy dreams.
Last night, I dreamed that I gave birth in a bathroom at Meijer when I was only 12wks. I'll spare you the gruesome details but I looked down and saw everything in the water and then the baby was getting bigger. I called 911 and they were asking me all these questions. It has me all up in my feelings this morning.

Here but trying to get some stuff done before the weekend. Hoping the office quiets down this afternoon like it usually does so I can leave and get the weekend started a little early. Especially since I have work to do this weekend anyway

lindsay I think an angled lob would look great on you. I agree with JoBub that short hair is more work though. I used to let my hair air dry all the time when I had it long. Now I need to style it. Luckily I only wash it twice a week (FFFC?) so I usually will wear it straight the first day, dry shampoo and curl the second and third day.

That's brutal at his age. Have you done any sleep training yet? Is he in his own room now?

He just got done with antibiotics for an EI and now has tons of snot again. Sleep training is a must if he doesn't go back to his normal wake up. He's so loud though I don't want him to wake up the big. And I feel like he would cry for a long time like the big did.

Does big have a sleep machine ?
He does but he has started demanding that it's turned off. He gets really mad about it. May have to turn it on after he's already asleep. The baby is underneath where he sleeps though so it doesn't help since it's basically coming through the floor. I'm hoping he just hasn't felt great and will go back to normal. It sucks he can't breathe. I had to suck his nose at 5:30 just so he could nurse.
Oh, I suck so bad JoBub. Just realized I never confirmed with you that we are out of town this weekend and won't be able to join for the bday party. I'm sorry!

No problem. Wish you could make it but hope you have something fun planned for the weekend!

Can I just say that this has been a great Friday! I finally got an approval for something that I've been waiting to be approved for exactly 1 month!! Hallefreakinglujah!

Ehh, just visiting my parents. My boys would probably prefer the ice cream party lol
I'm trying to convince my parents to take the big tomorrow night. I wish the little wasn't snotty so I could ST. Maybe this summer. I almost ST at 4 months but he would sttn and then wake up once at 4 for like a week and I would change my mind and then he would sleep poorly again for a night or two. He doesn't do anything consistently well or consistently poor. And he puts himself to sleep at night and after feeding. H tries the paci and it works 50/50. I can't night wean right now with him refusing milk during the day. Ugg. He drank 3 ounces all day at daycare today in the sippy cup.
