Anyone know of a substitute for coconut oil? I'm deathly allergic to coconut. I would love to try these cookies. I've been so worried about lactation issues because of my breast reduction.

Under the recipe says you can use all butter instead of coconut oil

Yesterday we spent most of the day downtown in the sun because it was supposed to be crappy rainy weather today and tomorrow. Today turned out warm and sunny (it rained in a few areas for a little bit, but I was inside at brunch and didn't even know it happened). I had brunch at my friend's place. She had a baby almost three months ago. He's cute, but huge! Very tall and also nice and chunky. Adorable cheeks. Then ran errands getting some needed items for baby.
Vent: I skipped a few stops because they were going long so I could get back to H, and when I texted him to come help carry groceries learned he went to meet a fellow resident. He said this morning he wasn't going to hang out with him (told me yesterday he might). So of course now I'm irritated. Too late to go back out because the stores close in a few minutes. No answer on if he's eating out or coming home for dinner and it's almost 6pm.
I know he honestly just doesn't think about logistics or planning or any of that, but it still greatly annoys me. I'm tempted to get involved with a project and then leave him to his own devices all night. (We usually will play a game or watch something on TV together.)

marshian, DH and I are the same way. I'll be considerate of the planning/logistics of something and consider if I'll be home in time for X and then DH will be out and not think about it. It doesn't happen often but pisses me off when it does. Sorry you had to deal with that today.
I'm sitting here debating what all to get with my Amazon registry completion discount. We got a regular stroller (Armadillo Flip - 20lbs, comparable to Uppababy Cruz). I'm sure we will want a lightweight umbrella stroller for travel and around town when needing to carry it when baby is a little older. The Summer Infant 3D Lite is super popular, especially around here, and cheap. It's completion discount eligible. Buy it now? It's compact to store so won't take up space.

Quoting myself: Holding off on umbrella stroller for now. They sell it at BBB so I can use a coupon on it later.
I'm not quite sure what has gotten into my husband. He often spends weekend days lounging on the couch and taking a nap while I'm out and about with the kids.
But today he power washed our patio, put up two wall hangings that have been sitting in our garage for weeks, sanded and re-stained our patio table, grilled for our friends who came over for dinner, and then after they left, he decided he wanted to camp with the kids in the backyard tonight. I'll be sleeping comfortably in the house. So strange, but I'll take it
The piano lesson year is officially wrapped up! My recital went really well, and I'm so happy to have it behind me. Now I do some baby prep and just try to relax as much as my toddler and yard will allow me to for a couple weeks. It's super dry here which means I've been dragging hoses everywhere trying to get my garden and flowers watered. Tomorrow I have to do the lawn. I've just popped in a couple times the last few days, I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Annnnd trying to print address labels just made me homicidal. I am ready to throw the printer, laptop, labels, anything out the window! DH said he'll figure it out when he gets home from the gym. Ugh! Hormones!!
I cleaned the house and that lasted about 5 minutes, so I've given up. I thought about going to my moms or the pool or a friend's, but I think I would rather just be antisocial for now. Haha. I get pretty reclusive during pregnancy. Especially at the end when everyone I see curious how you're feeling and gives you input about xyz.
RCS Wednesday am but it's been rescheduled twice already so who knows
It's been rescheduled twice!?!?! Mine is a week from today. It didn't even cross my mind they might reschedule.
This stuff only happens to me. Another dr mentioned a few weeks ago when he gave me my paper with the time - and special soap--- that a week before they'd let me know if there were cancellations due to births happening prior to their scheduled surgeries. I assumed I'd be moved earlier!
My hospital is super busy and apparently my OB is too. There were a few other doctors starting maternity leaves like now, so my OB has to cover their office hours tues. They moved me to wed (late morning) since I want my OB to do it. Then he found out that he needs to fly somewhere to cover for another Dr on wed pm so he moved me to bright and early wed am. So I'm thinking that if his plans change I'll decide whether to have another dr do it. If I wait and go into labor naturally I'll have a random dr anyway

I seriously think I must be the last one due here. lol. I'm only 35+6 today.
I spent all of yesterday in my pjs. We cleaned and I was grumpy for no reason. DH started to "have a talk with my hormones " being funny. I was laughing then all of a sudden uncontrollably crying. I have no idea why. That was fun.
C-section is scheduled for 2 weeks but I'm really hoping to go into labor before that (my perfect time would be Tuesday since my OB is on shift at the hospital, but anytime starting Sunday would be fine by me.) I was up from 1-3:45 this morning, and a few random times before and after that. Today should be a fun day.
