so with C I had the normal start off as period cramping type contractions which continued into painful labor and voila baby.
I'm laying here and have so much pelvic pain that is coming in waves. Like contractions but I'm feeling it right in my pelvis. It is pretty painful but not enough to be like omg I can't take it.
Has anyone else experienced this in their labor? Is this labor pains? Much confused.
I'd call, but sounds like labor to me. I had days and days of on and off labor with my second. Wasn't 100% convinced it was active labor when my doula convinced me it was time to go to the hospital. I was 8cm when I got there. It was weird. It wasn't the omg I can't take it. Very different than the first time. Things may be progressing for you.
I'd say if time-able and not stopping with rest/change positions I'd call. Like others said I've heard of different labors being different even between kids. Fingers crossed it's the real deal!
I'm thinking labor. It sounds similar to when I was in labor. I was convinced I wasn't because the OB told me I wasn't but as soon as I got to the hospital, my water broke. I'd call the nurse's line.
I've been trying to change positions and walk around and rest and see if they go away. So far, they haven't. Maybe this is it. Idk anymore.
You haven't had an OB appt. since all this started I assume? That would have been perfect for them to check what's happening. I agree with others that you should call at this point.

This - any recent appointments/cervical checks? Wondering if you were already dilated at all? Since you've had so much prodromal, that could have done the work of thinning and lengthening and perhaps the contractions needed to dilate wouldn't be as strong...i don't know what I'm talking about though, call a professional. Good luck!
I had a cervical check and sweep this morning. 1.5 cm, soft and effaced.
If you had a sweep this may be the start of active labor. I personally would try to hang out at home until it becomes really uncomfortable or painful. With DS, I got sent home twice, and I was not even able to talk through contractions already, but was only at a 1 and they wouldn't admit me, so because of that, I'm hesitant to head to the hospital this time around until I'm dying.

This was me too. I'm 99% sure this is definitely it. Should I start a new thread or continue here

Do you want me to just change the thread title for you to something else and you can continue here? You can edit the OP to say you'll put updates in the comments.

I would not hang out at home with #2. There are lots of long first labors and second babies born in cars. Get to the hospital. Let them be the one to send you home. My OB told me not to hesitate and not to wait for 5 minutes apart or whatever they say for the 1st. She said go to l&d at any signs of labor.

I got sent home three times with DD1. I was about to stop going in myself. I'm not sure what I would have done if I hadn't gone in for an induction with DD2.
Please go. I was induced but contractions went from okay to whoa very quickly as well.
This. With T. I thought maybe I was in labor for 2 1/2 hours to knowing I was in labor and then left for the hospital and I wasn't even there for an hour before he was born. Don't mess around this time!
I'd rather go and get sent home than have a baby in a car...
Even if you were only 1.5 this morning, you could be more dilated by now. I went from 0 dialated and not effaced at all to dilated 3.5 and 70 percent effaced in 8 hours.

Go to the hospital. With my 2nd I was having bad hip pain and contractions. It was ds2 coming down the canal. Call your doctor who will tell you to go to the hospital. And update us of course!
I called. They said to take a shower and see if that helps me manage the pain and space them out. The nurse was so unhelpful because she said well you were only 1.5 and he was -3 station this morning, so it's probably going to be awhile.
