Had my skin cancer screening today. Dr was awesome. All looks good, she said to plan on screenings every other year unless I find something concerning. She also gave me two rx's for acne. All in all it was a good visit. I'm glad I advocated for myself and did it. Peace of mind is pretty darn priceless.
Just saw my boss for the first time today. He has on a short sleeve button down shirt tucked into his pants. He always wears his pants Fred Mertz-style so he's definitely killing it in the fashion department today.
I'm making dinner. Ds is being super clingy so Dh went to change and offered to take ds with him. Dd had to go up with them too. I'm laughing and enjoying my child free moment.

Did you go to a dermatologist? I can't wait to go back to my derm to get back on acne meds after I'm done BFing. I wonder if I could do the cancer screening at the same appt as an acne consult.

Yeah, dermatologist. I only made the appt for the screening. She brought up my acne at the end of the exam and offered the meds. I didn't even ask about it because I thought it would be a separate appt. Worked out well!

Mine was booked as a total skin consultation and I came out of it with prescription shampoo. 🤷♀️

Today as the first day of camp. Kids had fun. I packed the kids pasta, turkey and , papaya for lunch. DD1 had bell peppers because she likes them and DD2 doesnt. DD2 has steamed carrots that she likes and DD1 doesn't. Except I put DD1's lunchbox in DD2's backpack and DD2's lunchbox in DD1's backpack. No one ate vegetables today. #moty

The only vegetable my kid will eat is corn on the cob. And even that's hit and miss.

Dd1 was bing a drama queen at dinner tonight. I made fried rice, and she would touch it unless I fed it to her. Even then she only ate 2 bites and then said all done. I'm really glad dh wasn't here for the last 30min of dinner. I'm getting sick and tired of making food that I know she likes and will eat, but at the first sign of resistance he offers a pbj. Now she thinks if she puts up enough of a stink that she will get a pbj. Not gonna happen when I'm in charge. You either eat what I make, or don't eat at all.

I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this, but the girls are actually playing nicely and quietly together on the porch. They've been doing so for the past 10 min.
As soon as I finished typing that they both came into the living room.
H and I went fishing this afternoon and there was a bald eagle hanging out on a tree next to us. Just before we left it swooped down right in front of us and grabbed a fish out the lake. It was very cool

Have you sat down and talked to YH about it? I'm with you, eat what I give you or don't, but there's no other option. Especially if you know they like it.

We did last summer, and I think we need to do it again. He doesn't want her to "starve" as he says. She won't starve from refusing to eat a meal. If I had made something new, and she tried it and didn't like it, I would make her a sandwich, BUT she has eaten fried rice in the past and will usually ask for 2nds and sometimes 3rds. She honestly was just being a 3yo, and ate a couple of bites when I fed it her. Also probably didn't help that dh went back to work tonight after having the weekend off, and thats always hard on her.

emmagk that's beautiful! You must have been quick to be able to get that picture!
Twice in the last week while driving I've seen a bald eagle munching on roadkill. Cool to see the eagles, but not nearly as majestic as your sighting. And weird because I didn't think they were really scavengers.

Dh bought an Amazon dash wand because it was basically free and it came today. I'm surprised how entertaining Alexa is. I could spend a truly stupid amount of time seeing how she responds to various random requests and comments.

Honestly we were sat on the dock for an hour and the eagle was hanging out the entire time. I wish I'd been fast enough to get a photo of it diving

Sorry this is long..... people are so weird!
As Dh and I were getting home from the gym, our neighbor was out and came over to say hi. NBD. Then a guy that was wearing an ill fitting and very dirty suit with a t shirt under the jacket approached on a bike. His helmet had stuffed animal style leopard print ears attached to the top. He leaned his bike up against a bush and walked over to us with both hands in his pockets.
I'm internally freaking out at this point like WTF is this guy going to pull out of his pocket. I pushed J behind my leg and Dh was holding K. The guy said, "you're not going to believe what's about to happen to you!" Freak out leveled up and I'm convinced we're about to be on the 11pm news.
Dude pulled a DECK OF CARDS out of his pocket and wanted to do a magic trick for money. WTAF. Get outta here. I'm unloading two very emotional and tired kids and gym stuff and you think I'm paying you for a card trick? Lol no. I said I didn't have any cash and he pulled out a smart phone with a card reader attached!!!!!!
We went inside as he accosted our other neighbors on our front lawn who happened to walk by.

Yikes Susan0utLoud that is very strange. And scary at the beginning when he had his hands in his pockets.
Though also sad (about our culture) that so many violent and disturbing things have happened that our minds immediately jump to that possibility. I'm glad this situation turned out to just be bizarre and annoying.
