H said bedtime went really well last night. Bub is proud of himself. I'm hoping we've turned a corner here. Gotta keep it up through the weekend, which is usually our downfall.
We switched DD to a toddler bed last weekend and she has been doing awesome. She sits in there until we come and get her. But sometimes (usually) I don't want to get out of bed to get her. So today I talked into her monitor and told her to turn her sound machine off and come into my room. It was so nice to not have to go get her. Lol

Nice! I kinda of love this age. You can tell them what to do and they can actually do it, most of the time.
JoBub so today is your last day of work? Or do you have to still work? I was also thinking, are you taking bub out of dc for the summer?
My grades are due Monday but I'll probably get everything finished today. I also have to clean up my classroom for the summer. Other than that I have one of these quick incoming freshman meetings today and another one next Wednesday and that's it.
Bub is staying in DC because of the wait list. But also because I want him to go. We kept him in part time last summer and it worked out well. He thrives on the routine. Plus he just moved up to the preschool room this week and he loves it so much.

Good, I started thinking, is she gonna to have the baby and the toddler and I got scared for you lol.

Yeah, no. I can barely handle toddler+inside baby. I'm definitely going to need an adjustment period before I ever have them both on my own. I figure it's better for him to go to DC bc if I kept him home I'd probably let him just watch TV all day.

5 months later...Bub's party was the first time I really had both on my own. Thank god for you guys holding C.

I gave H a list of all the days daycare is closed so he can take off with me. I had them both all day like 3 times and was so overwhelmed. Idk how people do that regularly. Especially when the big is in mad big brother mode and not pottying like he should without constant monitoring and then nursing too. It's literal insanity.
vlagroupie doing well. They're 2 weeks, it's flown by. My only complaint at the moment is S has a lazy latch so it takes like 10+ mins to get her latched. Just no to that esp in the MOTN.
And I totally forgot how much babies poop. They both go a lot, but I swear S goes once an hour sometimes lol

We had a rough night. Babe was up like six times screaming and crying, and was only ok if one of us was holding him. Like he was an infant again. I don't even know what time we finally threw in the towel and put him in my bed. Surprise, surprise, that solved the problem. But I'm worried he's getting too used to sleeping with me and I don't want that habit at all.

I got so lucky that G was not as frequent of a pooper. Especially not at night. He rarely poops at night. C was an all day all night pooper and it's really tough!

Especially not now... maybe just starting to have dreams and get scared.

Babe was not a frequent pooper, and I can honestly say he's maybe pooped at night a handful of times his whole life.

I think this is what it is. It's happened twice this week where he's totally freaked out and I have a feeling it's dreams. He just doesn't want to be left alone in the crib.

It's also interesting when you need to go to or you need to take the toddler to the bathroom and you're trying to keep them from touching everything because they are mobile.

chrispy1122 - I thought your MIL was done working and was already taking the kids. This situation seems like it really hasn't worked out as planned at all. I know she's his mom and usually I would say, H's deal with their own families while I deal with mine, but clearly he's not being clear with her or setting the appropriate expectations for her and maybe you need to step in and say something.

No she is starting on Monday so we had a two day gap. H was going to take off those days but was able to work something out with our DCP to watch 1/2 yesterday and our old DCP to watch today. It's probably premature for me to get too worked up about MIL, but I'm so pissed at H for not dealing with any of this until the last minute and then it ends up only working if I go out of my way.
Oh and the other part of the story? MIL's plan is to get stuff wrapped up at her other job by going in during the evenings next week. After watching our kids for 9 hours every day. Let's predict how great this is going to work out...
