I'm sorry, I feel like I'm so dependent on you guys right now with my constant questions. With DD I had like zero issues or concerns and this time I feel like I've been through the damn ringer.
Did any of you experience horrible night sweats? Like soak through clothes and sheets sweating?
I have had that going on and today I just have mild body aches and chills. I'm reading on Google that it could all just be hormone related but I swear I've never heard of people complaining of this before.
Just took my temp and its 99.7
Thoughts, input? My OB is not open on Saturday, just my luck. And I don't want to make any unnecessary trips to an ER.
I had it, and still randomly get it, after having DD. Same thing, I sweat through the sheets and have to change and lay a towel over my spot in bed. I'd see how you're feeling Monday. Do you have a fan you can put on you?
Fever, aches and chills could be mastitis. If you quickly start to feel worse you need to get an antibiotic. Does your ob have an oncall line you can call? Urgent care?
I am just more concerned with not catching something and that I am constantly feeding this LO. I don't want to pass anything to him.
activebaby I do have Graves' Disease and am being monitored very closely right now (TSH T3-4 levels).
I was more concerned with the start of the chills/ body aches. I certainly hope that mastitis isn't the cause. We have been doing so well with nursing! I don't feel any pain ful lumps, is that one of the last symptoms?
With DS1 I would have to change a few times a night. But I would watch for a fever. I mean I was achy but I didn't have chills. Like comicsans said I would keep an eye for mastitis.

I've never had mastitis, but I believe you can get it without a painful clog. On the other hand I've had several painful clogs that did not become mastitis. I've heard it comes on very quickly so if you feel awful tonight, that's likely the cause.
Anyone ever been sick and still breastfeed? I don't want to risk passing anything but obviously this is his only source of food right now
Yes. It's actually better for them if you do. You pass on the antibodies your body is making and they are less likely to get it. I had strep with both kids and kept on nursing.
Thank you all so much. I am feeling a lot less stress about this. Ugh. I think new moms should automatically be pardoned from all illness for the 1st year.
I've developed a small headache so I upped my water big time. Maybe I'm dehydrated, I'm nursing every 1 1/2 all day and every 3 at night on top of the night sweats.

Had a horrible stomach virus while BFing DD. I was so weak I couldn't even lift her up. We spent the day sleeping on the rug and I would feed her side-to-side; DH was out of town. Also had the flu and basically had DH bring me the baby when she needed to eat. always keep breastfeeding to keep up your supply.
Thank you ladies. I have such an amazing little baby, that is about the only part of my pregnancy, labor and post partum experience that hasn't been bumpy and eventful.
