Hey everyone! Here's my new beauty. Testing it out by taking the boys to the zoo. Totally twinning with lindsay because I also picked up a contours double stroller through FB, so we'll get a good test on that today too navigating the zoo.
My only plan today is to go to the Sears in Eastgate to pick up an order. It was free because I had a gift card, and that was the closest location I could get it.
I just have an eye appt today, then babysitting this evening. It definitely is hot... I should have taken a cold shower cause I'm still trying to cool off from it.
I've got van envy, I would really like automatic doors on my next car. Which is why the van is appealing to me, and also the amount of cargo room. Do most have automatic open/close lift gate? That is what I really want.

This one doesn't, but it's one of the lower end models from 2014. I think the next one up has leather seats and power lift gate. I like that I can operate the doors by remote. I'm doing much less laps around the car getting the kids loaded.
Love the color dogmama22! That's the only thing I'm not a fan of with our van. It's silver. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but it was a test drive car so we got a good deal on it.
Same old same old here today. Just trying to get everything finished before the weekend. So glad H got home late last night. He's been around more lately, so being gone this week was extra hard on the boys. Typically they are fine with "daddy's on an airline", but this week it was a lot of tears and tantrums that he wasn't around. They wanted nothing to do with me this morning when they saw him. Gee thanks, kids. I'm feeling the love 😂

Where do you all take your kiddos to the dentist at? Feel free to answer in PB. The one we were going to isn't covered under our insurance anymore. Which sucks because I really liked them.

I tried to get N in with a pediatric dentist but they weren't accepting new patients. I ended up just taking her to the dentist that MH went to recently and she did great. It was by our house so probably not convenient for you.
I'm here. Really need to get up and moving. I'm so close to being done painting the nursery, but I ran out of paint. Ugh. So my goal for today was to take a shower, go to home depot, and then Kroger. It seems unattainable at this point.

Just abandon the whole mission and put your feet up!

We have like NO FOOD in this house. We all, had dinosaur chicken nuggets for dinner last night.

The fact that you're even painting at this point is amazing. Please to post pictures. I saw the closet photos on FB and it turned out great.

Thanks. I've been doing just a little at a time. I don't have a before picture, but the previous owners were fans of accent walls. It was green on 2 opposite walls and tan on the other 2. The color I picked is much lighter neutral with a slight green tint.
And this us how close I came to being done last night, which is infuriating. Plus the wall to the right needs a second coat on about half of it.
I'm happy with how the closet came out. A thick coat of bright white paint works wonders. My plan is to have the nursery 100% ready to go with the baby clothes clean and everything before I worry about putting shelves in there.
I thought I didn't need to paint anything in this house, but then I started noticing the previous owners just did a shitty job painting. I'm always noticing spots that needed a second coat and didn't get it. They did leave us the paint, but in the nursery I would have had to buy more of it because pretty much the entire room needed another coat. You could see faint polka dots showing through from the previous PREVIOUS decor. So I just decided to pick a new color instead.
Just found out with our new windows, the really nice blackout shades I have in Bub's room (and the other 5 I ordered on Wed for the rest of the bedrooms) are not going to fit. Hopefully I can call and change the size on the ones I ordered but now we have to mount them outside the window frame instead of fitting neatly inside.
I just started the van, buckled the kids in, then loaded everything up. They're both out cold. Trying to decide how long to just chill in the zoo parking lot in the A/C
Click List or Prime Grocery/Prime Now or Shipt (via Meijers)
I thought about that today. When I did Clicklist last week the meat I bought went bad in the fridge really quickly. So I'm a little skeptical now.
Hmm - The time I did it I put a note in the order to pick the furthest sell by date on my milk/meat/yogurt.
If it goes bad, I would take it back to the store (defeats the purpose) or try calling and see if you can get a refund. What day did you order on? It seems like some days there are better selections in store so maybe the same for the Click List days.

It was on Thursday last week I think. I wasn't really paying attention to how long it was in the fridge and just threw it out assuming it was my fault, and it was my H that pointed out it wasn't that old. So I don't know what the date on the package was. I wonder if it wasn't stored in a cool enough area before I picked it up?
I'm impressed by all you're doing with just weeks to go before baby JoBub
That's nice of you, but it's now 3:00 and I still have not left the house. LOL. My kid is at DC and I've managed to take a shower, make a stack of bills that need to be paid (which I'm prob not going to take care of today) and make one unproductive phone call about the blinds. #doingthemost
