Busy here with putting together and wrapping Christmas presents. Yup you heard that right. DH's family is doing their Christmas this weekend. We have MIL, FIL, and BIL coming in Friday to stay with us. So I'm also, redoing beds and cleaning a bunch. I'm tired!
Every night has been a fight to eat dinner with A (and usually N too). She had timeouts and is going to bed hungry I guess. I work hard to make good meals with a variety of choices each night and I'm getting really frustrated. It kind of blew up tonight but I kept my cool. Next time this happens I'm going to take my food and eat in another room.

Lol been there, done that. Eating in another room that is. Dinner can be very frustrating around our house as well. Someone generally ends up with ranch dressing as a dipping sauce on their plate.
I tend to avoid things I know they won’t like which is annoying bc it means I don’t get to make/eat a lot of things that I like.
Past few days A is only eating meals on my lap. It started when he was sick and shortage of chairs dotting holiday meals, but now I can't get him to kick it. I've been trying to avoid it but by halfway thru dinner I'm tired of the screaming so I relent. I really just need to put my foot down but I'm not sure how.
Ugh the dinner table can be so frustrating. C's new thing is he doesn't want to sit in his high chair. Ok fine except he doesn't sit anywhere else either 🤦. Mr wiggle butt.
dreemkin one thing we do is thank you bites. They have to take one bite of everything on their plate to say thank you for making them dinner and the rest is up to them. If that is all the eat ok fine, they don't get anything else before bed. Sometimes they eat all the Mac n cheese and one bite of peas, for example, and ask for more then I will say they have to eat what is on their plate before getting more of what they want. Generally it's worked for us.
