Dentist went well! I have a few spots on my teeth that look the same as last year's xrays so the dentist was stumped. She said if they were cavities, then they would have gotten at least a little bigger in a year... She thinks they may just be how my teeth were formed. So I can still say that I'm cavity free! The hygenist said my teeth were very clean 😁 N has a permanent tooth! Being she's my first, I didn't know that they get the very back molars in without losing any teeth because there is no baby tooth there. So they basically teeth again back there. ☹ She's growing up too fast on me...
Home with the boys today. I had loose plans to go somewhere fun but my mom sent out a text that my stepdad is in the ER, and I haven't heard any news since. So my day is in holding at the moment.

dreemkin about a month ago my nephew was complaining to FIL that he had food stuck in his back teeth that he couldn’t get out, so FIL had him lay down so he could look. Turns out it was one of his permanent molars coming in. No wonder he couldn’t get it out haha.
Weather has been gorgeous the last couple days so we’ve been spending lots of time outside. I got a new car seat for G so that J can move out of the infant bucket into the convertible, so I’ll be swapping the seats around this afternoon. Exciting times over here

kartish oh no! Hope everything is going to be okay.
lilyelayne ah a booster! What a big boy 😢. I'm actually gonna look into getting a backless one for when H can drop N off at work. Sometimes our schedules align and I'm nervous to have her in just the seatbelt even for the 1 minute drive (she probably is tall/heavy enough because she's 99% height but I'd feel better with it).

Backless boosters are so easy! My nephews use them in MIL’s car, so I grab them from her when I’m bringing them somewhere. BubbleBum is an inflatable backless booster he can keep in his glove box. csftl.org/updated-bubblebum-review/
I’m keeping G harnessed but I’m right with you on feeling our kid’s ages. Where does the time go?

Ughhh I did all the necessary wrangling to take the old car seats out, flip G’s around RF for the baby, and install both seats only to find out at the very end the headrest/harness adjuster in G’s new seat is stuck or broken.

Look into the mifold booster, I've heard great things. www.mifold.com/
Edit, apparently it doesn't have great reviews though.
Hello hello. Life has been a bit crazy. My parents have been here this week. They are leaving tomorrow. It's been a good visit but I am really ready for some routine and structure with S. Her attitude is tanking which is fun. Looking forward to next week.
Speaking of S she had a migraine last Thursday. It was exactly like mine as a kid so I am basically 100% certain that is exactly what it was, and I am so sad that she is following in my footsteps. Hopefully they aren't a huge impact on her for a long while like me.
Stepdad is back at home. Apparently he had a massive vertigo attack (not sure if that's how to describe it). Feel in the bathroom and couldn't walk, super nauseous and couldn't keep anything down. He's better today, still dealing with some vertigo and dizziness but not nauseous.

So glad he is ok! My brother has had two of those attacks, both while driving. The first time he thought he was dying the second time he knew what was happening but was on the freeway and was terrified all the same.
aggiebug oh no for S! That is so sad. Hope it was a once in a while deal; that seems young to have a migraine. kartish yikes that sounds scary. My sister has boughts of dizziness and no one can tell her why or what it is. That's a weird thing for sure; hope he recovers well!
I have been deep cleaning today for the IL's arrival. I have a question for the sahm: do you ever ask DH to clean? I'm usually in the house cleaning alone and it's overwhelming. And I know that's a big part of my job so I hardly ever ask for help but ugh...it seems like I'm mostly doing this for his family or friends that stay with us and I get kind of bitter constantly cleaning bedding, remaking bedding, and everything else. I guess I would just love for him to help and it's be over quicker but feel guilty asking...

aggiebug I’m sorry S is already presenting with migraines but what a benefit to her that you understand them. I started getting them at 7yo and neither of my parents get migraines. Hopefully they are few & far between for her.
dreemkin DH definitely helps with cleaning before we have house guests. Usually whatever I haven’t gotten to on Friday. In general, he will put on a load of laundry if I get too behind. He cleans the kitchen most evenings while I’m doing bedtime for the kids.
dreemkin DH is pretty good about cleaning before guests. I usually have to remind him in the form of, hey will you help me with this, for cleaning up after dinner and such. I used to not ask him and I found myself getting resentful, and so started to ask for help with the things was currently working on, so that we do it together. I also ask the boys, but they are unreliable, lol.
dreemkin most of it falls to me of course but he definitely pitches in. It has taken some talking for him to understand how overwhelming it gets sometimes with all the last minute stuff that needs to get done and he taken the initiative to check off some of the to do lists for me. I am sorry you are struggling with your feelings, I think it's perfectly reasonable to feel resentful, frustrated, burdened that it all falls to you always. I hope you can find a time after this feeling had started to pass where you can process it and articulate it in a way your H can listen and understand so things can change in the future. I find I don't need much help just the act of helping and doing a few things makes such a huge difference.
Had a bit of bad luck and (I think) lost my car key on the bus today. Which really was not good because we don't have a spare for that car. And it's the weekend so we won't know if it has been turned in till Monday. I slightly have my fingers crossed it might be in my desk drawer at work, but I really don't think so.
But while I was waiting for DH I found a flyer for day camps at the nature center that look fun, I think I'll sign the boys up for one.
