Son injured, might not walk again

Hope everyone's doing good.

I am desperate now. My son recently met with a car accident while coming back from college. It was not his fault. He was walking through the sidewalk when a car came raging and crashed into him. He is severely injured and still in the ICU. He has injured in back. He is not responding properly to the treatments. Doctors say it might be difficult for him to walk again. Even if he does, it could take more than a year for him to get back on his feet.

I already have a lot of debts, which I took for renovations, hospital charges and other necessities. I was paying it off by small amounts. But after his accident, I have no idea what I should be doing further. I am trying to contact long term disability lawyer from Kingston. But I don't know how much time this is going to take. I have no idea how I am going to manage all my debts and the hospital and medicine charges.

Has anyone had been in a similar situation before?

Got any suggestions?
