Fundraising meeting for school at lunch today, so DH is taking the kids while I do that. Then two PTA meetings this week (one evening, one daytime) and back to bible study Wednesday after missing two weeks. I really need to catch up on my homework. Jβs separation anxiety is worse instead of better so I figure heβll end up in class with me again, but maybe not.
Itβs one of those days where itβs pouring rain, and I really wish I could just put on a pot of chili then lay around and read all day.
Me too lilyelayne its a dreary day, perfect for soup or chili!
Trying to plan two vacations for next year with two different sides of our family, and trying adjust already planned things after the realization that V will be in school next year (is it bad to miss 4 days of kindergarten?) and take into account my job and the changes to my position is making my head spin today.
And there is snow up at work. I'm not quite ready for that yet. Tonight I go to start A's costume at my mom's house, hopefully we can get it mostly done.
kartish schools make a big deal about missing days because it looks bad for the school (lowers rating) but personally if my kid is doing well, I don't think missing kindergarten for a few days is bad. We will have to miss 4 this April for BIL's upcoming California wedding.
Today is a gloomy, rainy, windy day here. The leaves are turning though and it's looking gorgeous.
Back to a regularly scheduled program today. Company is gone, both schools...all that. Norah got flustered about going back to school with her arm but I think she just needed to get there to be okay. She's my worrier, poor thing.
I tried to start gathering pictures from throughout the year for our Christmas card and Shutterfly was pissing me off. Not uploading pics, pics looks blurry, randomly closing out on me. So I wasted the whole afternoon and basically got nowhere.

One of the younger kids in Gβs class has declared that he is her best friend. Heβs decided thatβs cool & they can be best friends. Now heβs trying to learn Spanish since thatβs her primary language at home (he hears her talk to her mother & sister - her sister was in his class last year)
Today is cold and rainy and windy...again. Went grocery shopping. Now picking up Norah. Shutterfly was better today but just not the same as it used to be. I think they merged with Lifetouch recently.
Today I have been logging meals on lose it for 1 year π
I made a weight watchers recipe last night that was awesome! I thought it would be good to incorporate an egg/egg whites based dish into the week since it's a good protien and A will eat that. Eggs are a good value and we always have them bc they come in a double pack at costco. It was a (crustless) brocolli mushroom quiche. Not usually a huge fan of quiche but this came out really well! It was the first time in a while that A cleared her plate! #feltlikeasupermom I did modify the recipe a bit to make it more carb friendly and seasoned it up a bit.
Tonight H is gone for a work thing. Supposed to be a bath night but it is a production now that we have to wrap N's cast to not get wet. Not sure I want to tackle that alone lol. It's amazing what water can get through.
I've been working on A's costume and been busy at work. Vacation planning may finish up with the high level details this week.
We went to the pumpkin train after work yesterday. It was a nice time but an accident left us catching the train at the very last second. I'm glad we made it, its been our Hallowen tradition for a few years now. My little pumpkins:
Today marks 1 year on my weight loss journey. I lost 35lbs, gained a few back, and am now at 32lbs lost. I wish I was a little further along but I am still working on it and not gonna give up! 10lbs (from my lowest) is my new goal (by April/May). My long term goal is too keep being less weight with each disney trip lol. Of course I'm happy about the health benefits of the excerise as well. It keeps me motivated to eat right.
Tonight we were originally double booked with dance class and a Halloween party at school. But we had to cancel dance class and N chose not to go to the Halloween bash because it's mostly dancing (aka kids running around). Since she won't be able to participate in that (even though I told her we could still do the craft, get some snacks, socialize with friends) she chose to skip it this year. So to make it up we're having a Halloween movie night bash! Descendants 3, popcorn, and candy! I'll put a fire on in the fireplace. It'll be nice and hopefully cheer her up! We haven't done a proper movie night in a while so I'm happy too.
PS I love descendants and I'm not ashamed. PPS I'm happy were skipping the party because sweaty gym of kids and I don't like Halloween. at. all. PPSS (?) Glad our Fridays are free again (but wish it wasn't because of my baby's arm).
Hey hey parents left this morning. It was a good visit it glad to have our house back to ourselves. I managed to get on a cleaning/ organizing spree during our football game and got some awesome work done in the basement. It feels so good. I have all the stuff we will need when baby is born in one box, the stuff from 3-18 months in a second and both upstairs in C's room- what will be the nursery. The rest of the girls clothes are organized and ready to be passed down (did I tell you we know it's a girl?). Apparently S confided to H last night she is worried she won't be C's favorite sister once baby is here. Poor girl.
Had trunk or treat at our church tonight S is princess peach this year and so pleased with her choice. C is buzz lightyear.
V will be Spider-Man ans A will be Thomas the Tank Engine. Both of them are so excited for Halloween.
We went down to a carved pumpkin walk through last night. The boys enjoyed the slightly spooky scenes. It turned out to be a later night than I had thought though, there was quite a lot to look through.
Another night of Halloween fun, we went out to the dinosaur park for their flashlight night. The park is all covered in Halloween string lights, but then they have periods where they off all the lights. And V touched a tarantula (eek!) And A touched some larger relative of a tardigrade.
Tomorrow is pumpkin carving and the final coat for A's costume.
