Yet another slam packed week. Guess that’s the holiday season! Getting my hair cut today, doing childcare for bible study leaders’ meeting tomorrow, Wednesday is thanksgiving celebration at G’s school, and Friday my cousin & his family are coming to visit for the weekend.
Yesterday was church, an extended family party, and putting away of fall decorations. That made me sad but it just felt weird with snow/cold and it being later in November already. Christmas decos may go up next weekend... shhh.
Today for dinner I am attempting to make breakfast burritos that taste like McDonald's ones.
PS: my sister now has two fertilized eggs in her uterus!! Hope they really grab on!
Grocery shopping day. Started heading out an hour early and then realized. I'm losing it!
No RE for N tonight so it'll be a nice little break. It's getting dark so early now that I just want to put on my pjs and the fireplace after picking up N from school. In my dreams! Lol
Oh I didn't tell y'all Monday was a rough day here. Kids were awful and I just lost it by the end of the day. I took every single toy out of their rooms. I have a huge bag of trash, a bigger pile of donate and a small pile each they get to earn back. I let them out of their rooms to pick up the play room while I felt with their room mess and they made the mess bigger and so 2/3rd of those toys are gone too, some tucked away and some for donate or trash. I would have taken more but my body said nope you're done. 😬
Well S was absolutely amazing yesterday and C was pretty fantastic too, and today is still better. I know it won't last entirely, I mean no one has great days every day, but I hope they got some perspective on their stuff and will at least be a bit better!
Wow aggie, you are tough for doing that with toys - impressed. I almost lost it with the dinner fights last night (I see me just walking out of kitchen someday soon or throwing a plate). We banned all snacks and treats until they shape up aside from school healthy snack. Halloween candy almost got thrown in the trash. I'm tired of it.
I ran a 5K today! Completed the program and it felt amazing (well not the being out of breath and jelly legs part). I stayed on track and only had one failure (2nd to last run). 9 weeks! I cried in the car on the way home. I am PMSing and feed up with some other stuff so I think that and being happy for finishing my goal kind of brought all the feels. Idk people probably thought I was nuts driving home. Whatevs

It is a constant battle to clean up. Epic tantrums and whining and then they utterly destroyed their rooms Monday. We shall see how this actually pans out.
Today A needed to blow off some energy (steam?) so I am sitting at the mall with the indoor play area. I need to get a free item from a store here too so it works out for both of us!
It's been a long, overly emotional week. When I feel upset or angry, I see it in my kids and husband. I hate blaming things on PMS (because come on girls, we're better than that) but in this case I can't see another reason for my feeling like this. In short, I'm glad it's Friday and I can just be with my favorite people all weekend long! We don't have any hard plans. Last weekend we deep cleaned the girls' rooms so I'd like to keep that going with maybe the dinning room since it will be used during the upcoming holidays. Then I think Christmas decos are coming out.
Hope everyone is having a good Friyay (not a typo)!
Ps: I saw my first Christmas tree going home in a car on Wednesday. 🌲 Also my Christmas cards came in last weekend. Maybe I'll work on getting those addressed this weekend too.

dreemkin congrats on the 5k!!! You’ve been working hard! I hope you got to recharge this weekend & are feeling better. It sucks that hormones wreck havoc on our mental state but sometimes they really, truly do.
aggiebug hope the kids have been better for you. Toy purges always end up helping my patience in the long run.

Sorry I was MIA the week was even more eventful than expected. SIL came over Tuesday morning to babysit & DH backed into her car in our driveway. I ended up having to cook two turkeys for the school thanksgiving feast - never cooked a turkey before but I did it in the oilless fryer & they were delicious! Thursday night my dog stopped walking & refused to bear weight on her right hind leg, so she spent most of Friday at the vet. They couldn’t find anything broken/damaged/wrong either on exam or more xrays, so she’s on a regimen of anti inflammatory, muscle relaxer, and nerve meds. She is doing much, much better. Then we spent almost the whole weekend at my parents’ hanging out with my cousins.
Woo wall of text. Sorry. I kept meaning to check in but in the evenings I’ve been trying to write. I’m 6k words behind on my novel, and I’m running out of days to catch up.
DH woke up throwing up this morning. FX no one else gets his germ or whatever.
I’m cooking the ham for thanksgiving. My grandmother’s back is hurting too much to do it. She told me her method so FX I can produce an acceptable ham on Thursday.
Holy busy, Batman lilyelayne. I'm sorry for your problems! I hope everything was/is resolved. I'm impressed with your turkeys - I really want an air fryer but we keep putting it off for other purchases. I'm sure your ham will be delicious!
