pooky08 seriously? I'd be so pissed! Fx the new place works out.
Yeah it gets better. Not only did she tell us she wouldn't have a spot for us until summer (cause that helps me how? We decided to use her back in July), but I think we dodged a bullet. The other night I met with a potential new place, and one of the parents stayed late to talk with me and offer a recommendation.
She didn't know who we were originally going with, so none of this was prompted. Turns out this parent had originally gone with the provider we were going to use. After her baby was there two weeks, she got a call saying she'd have to come get the baby and find another provider. The reason? Because the baby cried too much.
And she was going to watch my three month old? Maybe it's good that I found out seven weeks in advance rather than having her bail two weeks after I go back to work.

Wow- how does that provider stay in business? Sounds like you dodged a bullet!

Miss Mina hit her 6 week growth spurt early, and we survived the chaos that has been the past week and a half. More like a "Praise Jesus" moment than a success, but I'm happy she and I handled it so well.
Baby Paisley loving her ring sling. It's the first time we have used it for a nap, so, Saturday success. Also, I didn't kill my 2 year old this week, so yeah.

I survived the week alone with two kids! Trying not to think about how difficult it's going to be in two weeks when I'll be alone with them for 9 days AND be back to work.

Yay for babywearing! I'm glad your LO likes it! My LO takes at least 1 nap a day in one of our wraps.
I wore out first a ton but not until like six months, so wearing a bitty is still new.
I blow dried my hair this morning with LO calmly awake in the stroller next to me. I've always been irrationally afraid if having the vacuum or blow drier noise close to baby.

Wow really? Baby wearing + vacuum = sleeping calm baby in my house
My success is that last week I felt I was producing way less milk than I had been and I became very concerned about my supply even though the boy was still getting enough. I made a concentrated effort to take time for myself to eat and drink more water and I truly think it helped. Even if it did nothing to my supply, at least I'm being healthier for myself.
Also, I bought a new work wardrobe so I'm ready to go back on March 1st. My goal for this coming week is to enjoy my last week at home but not to stress out too much about going back. Wish me luck!

I vacuum everyday because its one of the only ways to get him to nap. My husband thinks I'm super woman because our house is always so clean. Ha!

I'm in the same boat with supply issues, tried everything and still low. I'll feed him as long as I can but for now we are supplementing.
I have to add another one that I forgot about that really is brag-worthy. I went shopping this week and bought a non-stretchy, button down shirt that was not maternity and not plus size!!! And all the buttons button and none of them pull when I sit down. I did a happy dance in the dressing room.
That is a success! However, I was the opposite last week. I bought a new button down and was so excited to fill out the chest and have the buttons pull a little. I have boobs for once!

LO took a 4 hour nap. I organized my clothes and started a donation box. Plan to do some more cleaning later. We visited our daycare on Thursday to get paperwork and tour again. Everyone is very nice there. I feel better about LO going there, but I know I will still be sad on the first day we drop him off.
We have partially weaned from the nipple sheild. By partially, I mean one side. I have flat nipples, one flatter than the other. It has made nursing twice as fast for the one side.

LO started foods this week and got his 4 month shots. 4 months and 13lbs! Yikes! Slow down! It's so awesome watching him try to figure out whether or not he likes apple sauce I let DH do the honors of feeding him and choosing his first food.
We transitioned DS to his crib this week. He's not given me anymore 6 hours in a row but we got up to 4.5 hours last night.
I got my lessons planned for my first week back (more or less). Monday is the day.

I finally broke down and bought a rocker so I can rock LO in our room. So far I really like it. Plus its pretty! I also vacuumed/Swept and steam mopped the whole front of our house. Baked a cake and made dinner. Plus my two year old is still alive c:

My LO LOVES the blow dryer! When she gets out of the bath I blow her hair and all her folds to make sure she's 100% dry. I am almost positive it is why she likes baths now.

Omg I died at "all her folds"! My LO only has fuzzy little hair, but she's got rolls like the Michelin Man so maybe I should start blow drying her too
I played my first indoor soccer game since finding out I was pregnant! My 17 yr old sis came to the arena to watch the girls during the game and we even went out for ice cream after. I also did a set of crock pot freezer meals with the help of my mom-15 gallon size bags for $103! Most will be 2-3 meals for us.
H brought home an awful cold so I had him home 4 days in a row without helping because he was afraid to get LO sick. First 2 days were awful, I was so pissed but I understood so I just accepted it. Then 2 days later I caught it and so did LO, poor girl!! Yesterday's success was saline drops in her nose and using the nose bulb. Doing it before feedings to she can breathe better and she's so good with it now, only cried the first time! Feel so bad for her, she's got a little cough and keeps sneezing, poor girl!
A day late, but LO has been sleeping in her crib for her naps and at night the past two days! Yesterday, I achieved both girls napping at the same time, in the same room. I don't know if I'll be able to replicate it today, but I'm feeling much more competent.

I know it's Sunday, but yesterday was LO's baptism...We survived with minimal crying, and then slept through her party afterwards, thanks to Baby K'tan. Also, everyone made it home safe during the snowfall that was occurring last night!
