Give it a shot! You can get an Rx for your doctor. It can be pretty drying/irritating at first. I would wake up scratching my armpits furiously because they would itch so badly. But it works, and is totally worth it. I used to have to use it every othe day, and now I haven't used it since 2010 and I just seat like a normal person. Minus the post partum BO....
I will ! Thank you so much, I can't wait to try it !
+1 for Drysol. I'm planning on getting back on it once I'm done BF. Pro tip: do NOT shave your pits at night then use it. Owwwww. It wasn't a permanent fix for me but it definitely helped a lot.
gdaniels77 you can also try sitz baths a couple times a day, that's supposed to help shrink them. Whatever you do, don't strain.
My related TMI: after 10 weeks of not being able to sit after pooping, I went to the doc, and turns out it's not hemorrhoids, it's an anal fissure. F-ing ouch. But my doc gave me topical nitroglycerin (yep, heart meds in petroleum jelly) and I think it's helping. So, if they don't get better, go see your doc.
I had the MOST awkward sexual encounter of my life last night. I felt weird about doing in the same room as LO, and he was asleep in our room...so, we did couch, then floor, then standing. We had been arguing earlier, and DH was wearing his work t-shirt and socks the whole time. WTF happened to us? The kicker is that I didn't even get off until early this morning, I woke up with an O, after having a dream that I had a penis and was peeing (in the dream). I don't even know.
ETA: we did so many positions because we were so awkward and uncomfortable...
My subconscious is like a sponge lately, because last night I dreamt this after reading it yesterday! No O though, damn.

Yikes! I asked at my 6 wk appointment if it was an anal fissure that was causing me to bleed every time and she said there were no fissures and no hemorrhoids, basically nothing. So now I'm pissed. Hope it gets better for you soon!
I thought I had a hemorrhoid, but it was a granulomma. It was so much fun getting my taint burned with silver nitrate!
yep I had one of those too. DH had come with me and hung out in the waiting room with LO - when I came out and told him what they had to do his face was hilarious. Between that and my fissure he is not pushing sex at all - I miss it but still scared to try b/c I still feel messed up down there, with all these issues.
I wish my fissure was a granuloma. It was gone within the week after the silver nitrate. That was awesome.
I'm ebf and haven't started yet, but I ordered a diva cup for when I do. I've heard good things about it though.
I ordered a diva cup too. I've heard good things about it for heavy periods so I thought I would give it a try.
I used a Lunette cup when my cycle returned after DD2. Never going back to tampons!!! The thing is freaking awesome. It was like I wasn't even on my period! The first/heaviest day I always had to empty it once midday, but otherwise I only emptied, cleaned and reinserted every 12ish hours. Amazing.

I used drysol briefly in college and basically haven't had to wear antiperspirant for several years since...though I did start sweating more (like a normal person who doesn't wear antiperspirant) since becoming pregnant. Wanted to chime in that I seem to recall it's mostly aluminum and I personally would wait to use it until after I was done BF, if that applies to you. More importantly, I would wait until you can get more consistent sleep. It does make your armpits itch like crazy and for me it definitely interfered with my ability to stay asleep and return to sleep.
I'm late for TMI Tuesday, but this thread reminded me that I kept smelling mold in the bed where I would feed LO, for days I thought I was going crazy but I turned out it was just my nose being closer to my armpit! I think it is a combo of my natural funk and the new hippie no chemical deodorant I had just started wearing. DH says he can't smell it but I think he just doesn't want to jeopardize any possible chance of getting some action.
