I'm so sorry you didn't get better news today! Like others said, it sounds like you're in the hands of a great doc and that really matters. You & Nugget are in my thoughts everyday!
Oh Trixi, I'm so sorry. Why can't things just be easy for you?? I hope the procedure goes smoothly and little miss decides to put the gymnastics moves on hold!
Listen up, Nuggete! I know you're scared of being the 'forgotten' second child, but this is NOT the best way to get attention from your parents! How about you just start walking at 8 months or become an astronaut at age 12 or something... that would get you some attention!! Knock it off already! ;-)
trixi282, I am so very sorry you have to do the procedure again. I was praying for positive updates, but you are a strong mommy and taking this news very well...much better than I could. I pray that the procedure goes as seamlessly as possible and that it doesn't get yanked out again. Please continue to give us updates, but most importantly, know that we are all thinking of you and are here for you.
Today was my “regular” follow up with the MFM doc. With the good news last week, I was hoping this could be the start of weekly appointments, but I got my hopes up too soon.
The mass has grown, and quite a bit, more than Doc wanted to see... ok a lot. In 5 days it’s tripled in size, which is bad. We also have fluid build-up again in Nugget’s belly, which was practically non-existent at last week’s appointment. So before even coming in to see me after the U/S, she called and scheduled the shunt procedure again for tomorrow morning. This time though she got it scheduled for nice and early (8:30am) so hopefully we aren’t bumped back, and if we are, it shouldn’t be too far! Which also means I have to be to the hospital at 6:30am... dark and early.
So back to the OR I go… this time she said Nugget is in a good position (head down) for her to be able to go in more in the back of the chest, which makes it much harder for baby to dislodge it. Let’s hope this is it!
*Rough numbers of size: Thursday mass was measuring around 22 (it had been 26 I believe on Monday) and today it was roughly 70.... the highest it's been before this was a little over 40 which was when I had the thoracentisis (1st procedure in office). So 70 is bad, really bad.
Big big hugs woman. Good thing little miss has her head down!

trixi282, Hope you have your feet up. Joey is playing nice in the corner. You've got a big plate of warm gooey nachos and all went well. Thinking of you and your she-Nug.

These moments are when it's been convenient and handy living with IL's and being close to family. My mom brought me home (Ryan was with me this morning until he had to go to work) and FIL was working quietly upstairs. He asked if I needed anything, and then just left me alone to chill on the couch with the TV.
J is at daycare for now, MIL got home a little bit ago and they're leaving soon together to get her and run a few errands and pick up dinner. I can't pick her up physically for 48 hours, and it's just easier for him to get her as long as he's ok with it because she always wants me to pick her up and hug her when I get her.
