I took a much needed break after too much interwebz and cleaned the hell out of our house. I made the dog and the cat go outside (it was warm, I wasn't being cruel, promise) and moved all the furniture, dusted, swept, vacuumed, mopped, and washed windows. I'm sore and I have a blister, but the house looks (and smells) so nice
This is amazing! I'm exhausted just reading your list.
We did mountains of laundry, folded and hung things up, cleaned the kitchen and had time for a roll in the hay. I even fit in a little mini nap. I'm pretty pleased with my time management even if I didn't get the whole house clean.
Jury's still out on whether or not we'll do a full-blown Oscars party this year like we did this year. Anyone else enjoy the Oscars and/or do a party?
i remember a friend in HS had one and everyone wore prom dresses and dressed up. It was so funny. What do you do for your parties? Aren't the award shows usually on firing the week? I'm lame and that alone would keep me from participating.

How funny! That's one way to get more wear out of those dresses. I'm not sure about other awards shows, but the Oscars are usually on a Sunday late afternoon/evening (PST). Last year I didn't do dressing up, but I did some fun Oscar-themed foods like cookies and Sour Patch kids that were made to look like actual Oscar award statues.
I also did some ongoing games so people didn't get bored, like Bingo with spaces along the lines of "Cried during acceptance speech," or "Wardrobe malfunction." It was a lot of fun! Just a lot of prep, since I tend to go a little overboard and Pinterest-happy with parties.
