LO has been doing weird things lately, ie eating anywhere between 1.5-5hrs at a time, napping a lot and then not napping at all the next day, etc. the worst is she changed her sleeping patterns...she used to go to bed at 9:30/10pm, wake at 3 to eat, and get up at 5/6. She'd then even take a nap usually, and sleep an additional hour or two until 8 or so. Now, she's been going to bed and waking at 1, 3, and 4:30, and then napping until like 8 or 9. What gives?? She went from having a 4-5 hr stretch to having a barely-3hr one with additional wakings! This is of course right when my leave ended and I have to leave by 5:45. Ugh. I'm hoping it's just the 3mo spurt and things'll go back to normal soon. Gonna ask her pedi about it at her appt today.
That sucks aluzitano. I hope her sleep pattern returns soon!
I've been so exhausted this week! Dang work. I had to get on the phone to talk to somebody during my commute yesterday because I felt like I was in danger of falling asleep! I want to take a nap today -

The crazy sleep never fails does it? My Lo put in a pretty solid night last night. For a kid who generally won't nap anywhere but on me ... I got him to nap in his crib for 30 minutes yesterday! Yay!!! I head back to work in less than a month so trying to get him used to sleeping in his crib or pnp for naps is going to be my challenge in the coming weeks!
I couldn't take it anymore and created a new username with fake everything on TD to not really flame but maybe find a polite snarky way to tell a few new users 'your doing it wrong'. Now i just have to wait a few day's.

This same exact schedule for mine too! Idk why ds switched but I need him to go back asap.

Random: I didn't know today was Thursday... My days and nights have just been blending. Even when I went out once or twice it didn't help. Mommy brain in full effect.

Lol!! I need to go look asap!
This is hilarious! I lurked there last night & some of the posts kill me. Had they been asked when the board was active, the snark value would be off the charts.
aluzitano I hope it's the 3 mo spurt for you. We had about a week of crazy no sleep and are getting back to his normal schedule slowly. Fingers crossed yours will too.
zengal hope you get your nap! Drive safe, it sucks to be that tired.
lovebuggies12 I also was looking for today's randoms and was confused because I didn't realize it was Thursday lol.
I just discovered something I didn't think about in terms of baby proofing. I have curtains in the dining room that were a bit too long and draped in the floor. I accidentally stepped on it today while picking up the table and the curtains and curtain rods came crashing down. Soooo time to sew the curtains!
We started our daycare trial yesterday. We were dragging our feet but for sure, we have to do it next week. Coincidently, FIL had to go to the hospital so H and I bit the bullet and ripped off the bandaid and dropped her off so we could be at the hospital.
LO was away about 5.5-6 hours. We were so relieved to pick her up. During that time, she ate 4 oz twice and had pee/poo diapers, comparable to normal. It was hard to tell when she napped. She still started her long sleep around 11:30pm.
I'm sitting here holding her after her morning bottle and don't want to let her go back to daycare today.
aluzitano my DD did the same thing recently, she is 14 weeks today. Last night she was back to her "normal" which is close to your LO. Hopefully it's just a growth spurt and she starts sleeping more soon.
zengal drive safe! I've been tired this week I hope next week is better!
aluzitano, I think it must be the age. DD is going through something similar. She slept great for a few nights, then awful for a few nights, then STTN for a few nights, and now we're back to waking up at around 4-4:30 for about an hour to eat. Her napping during the day is awful and all over the place too. It can definitely be frustrating. I hope you're able to get more consistent sleep soon!
lovebuggies12, I know what you mean about mommy brain! I swear babies eat brain cells and they never come back! I've done more stupid/forgetful things since getting pregnant than I'v ever done in my entire life. Oh well, that sweet little face is worth it!
gldnbearz, it's so hard to let other people watch them! ((Hugs)) to you! Hopefully it gets easier with time!
Our bathtub is leaking somehow into our basement, and we can't figure out how exactly. I'm super frustrated about it, because it feels like just one more thing that we can't really afford right now. I'm bummed that my maternity leave is done starting on Wednesday, but I guess it's a good thing that I'll be back to work.

zengal Sorry mama! Hope you have an amazing weekend to make up for your first week back. Next week is going to be tough, my first day back I'm slammed from 9am-1pm (includes 2 pumping sessions). It's going to be rough!
My LO's sleeping schedule has also been a bit off lately...hoping it changes soon!
Speaking of mommy brain...I managed to put on a shirt (button-down) AND a pair of pants (ok, pajama pants) inside out yesterday!!!
Yesterday I went to a Babywearing group and checked out a ring sling. When I tried it on, LO fell right asleep! Hope I can recreate that :-). Anyone else use a ring sling? .

This is exactly how I feel! I don't want to put her down once we get home, and before I put her in the car seat to go over to the sitter's, I hold her and squeeze her and say aaaahhhh I don't wanna go!
wicked22 did you read the one titled "no sleeping through the night"?! Crazy. Plus she can't do math.
Yesterday I got home from work at 5:20 and LO was so overtired and cranky she went to sleep at 6:45 and didn't wake up until the morning (besides to nurse a few times of course) it made leaving her today so much harder because I felt like I hadn't seen her in days. This going back to work thing sucks I want to stay home and snuggle all the days.
calimomof1 Your schedule will definitely have you hitting the ground running! They had me booked on my first day too and I had to have them reschedule to give me pumping time. Good news is it makes the day fly by!
Second to last day of maternity leave. Part of me is really ready to get back into work to try to make my life a little more normal, but I'm also anxious about leaving LO. My sister will be here to care for her, so I know she will be fine. Last night she had some separation anxiety while I was running errands and cried the entire time my h and I were gone. Isn't she too little for that??
wicked22 last time I checked 8-11pm was three hours? Ooof.
ninergirl52 your smart to start now! I decided to start a nap routine yesterday. I go back to work Monday... Uh, good luck baby sitter!
jjh1119 when we moved into the new unit I tried to start baby proofing right off the bat... But I think there's probably stuff I missed in every room of the house. It'll be an adventure?

Sounds like I should boot up my work laptop just to start blocking out time in my Outlook calendar.

I really want to know how starving your baby is going to help them STTN. There is a major unknown factor in the question as to how they are feeding the baby and I don't know about you ladies but I haven't meet a LO to date that sleeps well with a fan. Also don't most baby's like to be rocked to sleep, I mean I know all baby's are different but I think rocking of some form, laying in your arm or their head on your shoulder, is all about soothing a baby to sleep.
calimomof1 I want to try a ring sling but am waiting to see if the three carriers I have now are actually fails or if when we can actually go out and use them, one may be successful.
pixie523 I have only done a few minor things with baby proofing but the list of things to do seems to be getting longer and longer. Definitely an adventure.

Yes the N14 Board, I'm sad to see what it has become. I'm not a know it all and no one is perfect but there is such a thing as baby common sense which looks like more than a few lack when giving advise.
pixie523, I would have thought they were too young for that too, except that in the past few weeks, DD has started to cry if anyone but DH or I hold her-especially if she sees us. In a way, it's nice to know that she recognizes mommy and daddy, but it makes me feel bad for my parents and in-laws when she does this to them.

That's pretty crazy advice. I don't know a baby who wouldn't be unconsolably crying if you held off feeding them. Definitely wouldn't be going back to sleep.
I don't get this not sleeping through the night thing. I'm not expecting consistent nighttime sleeping for at least a couple more months. I get excited if we only have two wake ups lol

Yes! I already blocked out time for the first month.

UO - my baby sleeps with both a ceiling fan and a white noise machine on. I also don't rock my baby to sleep, just lay him down after he's done feeding. I agree though that starving your baby isn't going to do any good.
