Ditto on Mo Willems. I know that Elephant and Piggie are technically Beginning Reader books but they crack me up. I think my H might want to kill me for getting S the Daniel Tiger and Elmo potty books (they make noises). I guess those are in heavy rotation at bedtime these days.
S was agreeable to sorting out books to save for baby brother the other day so we weeded out quite a bit. I'm surprised but he let go of the Llama Llama board books.
H is telling me that alphabet books are popular, Sandra Boyton books and Eric Carle books, too.
We love all the Mo Willems stuff here, too. I need some good kiddie book recs. I know a few kids who like the Lyle Crocodile books, but we don't have any.

My grandma got this book for Andre two Christmas' ago and its still one of his favorites. It's pretty long but it's a rhyming book and the colors are beautiful. It's not a series but there are more books by the same author and I'm thinking about getting a couple more because Andre seems to really like them.

We like the Bear series by Karma Wilson--Bear Snores On, Bear Wants More, Bear's New Friend, etc. She has a new one out about colors (Bear Sees Colors, or something like that), but M and I don't care for that one as much as the others. We've recently enjoyed All the World by Liz Scanlon. It has a good message and beautiful illustrations. Also check out books by Emily Gravett--Dogs and Matilda's Cat are a couple we have particularly enjoyed.
Dagny loves the Little Critter books. She also like the book Moustache Baby (so dreaming cute & funny) and the Bear books (Bear Snores On, Bear Gets Scared). She's also been into some of the old Little Golden Books, Day At the Seashore, Pokey Little Puppy, the Kitten Who Thought He Was A Mouse.
Thought of a few more! The "If You Give a..." Series by Laura Numeroff are new favorites here. Emily Gravett like katydid mentioned is also great. I haven't read them to Robin yet but the This is Not my Hat and I want my hat back by Jon Klassen are hilarious.
Once you start searching, there's a whole subset of kids books that are full of hilarious snark!

I second the Llama Llama books. I also like the How Does a Dinosaur (Eat Its Food, Love Its Cat, etc) books. Fun rhymes and DD thinks some of the illustrations are hilarious.

We also like the How Does a Dinosaur books. I just ordered How do dinosaurs say I love you. I like that they have several options in board book format too!
