The first one that wasn't an accident we conceived the first week of December, I had a BFP about a week before Christmas, and I desperately wanted to surprise him Christmas morning. I miscarried Jan 2nd.

The next one, Olive was 3 months later, and he was at the Masters and I wanted to tell him in person. I was also nervous after what happened the previous time, so I had betas first.

The most recent one, S, I was so terrified over what had happened with Olive (not to mention the miscarriage in Jan, and two other miscarriages a few years ago, surprise pregnancies), that I was a mess. I sobbed at the positive pregnancy test, and got 2 rounds of betas before I even told him. I wanted to wait until my MFM confirmed a heartbeat at 6 weeks so that I could protect him for even a few weeks from possibly getting hurt again. I only told him because it was snowing and he noticed I wasn't shoveling as aggressively as usual (I love shoveling) and I screamed, "BECAUSE I'M FUCKING PREGNANT!!!!!!!", to which he responded, "THEN GO THE FUCK INSIDE!". It was valentine's day.

It took a few hours for us to talk about it after that because we were both dealing with some pretty heavy emotions.

When I was in HS I was a Key Club Lieutenant Governor. At the state-wide convention I had to announce the recipients of an award. The girls in charge didn't like me very much, so instead of actually filling in the names of recipients, which they were supposed to do, they left "insert names of x, y, and z award here" and some other random text. Which I read verbatim. Like an idiot.
