Hugs would really help (friend's pregnancy/LC mentioned)

In responding to a previous post about a friend's pregnancy, I shared that one of my best friend's is also pregnant. I was two weeks ahead of her and we both were having boys. I had to pull away from her because it's just been too hard. She's where I should be at.  I had thoughts about visiting her and our other best friend for a weekend but I didn't know if I could see her pregnant or if her baby was already here, if I could see him. So I decided not to go visit them. I wondered how I was going to react when hearing her baby boy was here - well I found out tonight.  I was at my ILs and DH and I were just discussing going to Ronin's grave tomorrow when I received a text saying she delivered her baby. Then she sent pictures of him. I did everything in my power not to cry in front of everyone. I kept it together. I had to pee sooo bad but I knew if I went to the bathroom, the tears would flow and I wouldn't be able to stop them. 

I'm home now and the tears are freely flowing. I just want to curl up into a ball and cry my heart out - I'll probably do that a little later tonight. I wish I could outwardly express my happiness for her and her family. I am truly happy for her but all I feel is sadness and loss.  Tomorrow she'll be holding her son while I lay flowers at my son's grave.  So if anyone could spare some hugs, I'd be truly grateful because I really need them right now.

It's incredibly hard to be happy for others when you're just so sad for yourself. It's normal, and we get it.

Sending you so many hugs. I am so sorry, sweetie. I think you saw on another thread I posted that my best friend is pregnant right now (due in June, while I would have been due in May). It is truly difficult to be friends with her right now. Last night she was talking about how she misses her life pre-marriage because she was so independent and used to go out and on trips and stuff. Honestly, I can't muster up much sympathy for her when I would give anything to be in her position right now.

So, yeah, it sucks and it is completely and utterly unfair that this happened to us. I just wanted you to know you're not alone. Feel free to PM me anytime. I'm here for you... we all are.

I'm here for you. About 2 weeks after I had my ectopic our best friend announced they were pregnant. I completely get the "but it was spost to be me!" feeling. I'm so sorry for your loss and what you're going through.

I'm so sorry! (((Hugs))) Sounds like you handled yourself pretty well in front of other people though. When I found out my sister was pregnant- at a wedding- I drank a lot and then cried harder than I ever remember crying and was taken home by my parents, who even told DH to go in another car!
