We had a pretty successful weekend. Had lunch AND dinner out on Saturday. Sunday, went to our friend's daughters' one year birthday. She just started walking a week ago, it was so cute!
Still not getting the hang of a morning routine. LO woke up to eat around 5:45am. I never went back to sleep and still didn't manage to leave the house until 8:30. How do you mamas get into a morning routine?!
Washed my hair this morning for the first time since Friday. It felt AMAZING!

@mrsadventure1- Omg! That is tough! Is there anyone who can help out during one of the days so you can take a little nap? I am sorry you are dealing with the sleep deprivation. Does she nap during the day? Is there any way you can nap on your days off? I know the whole sleep when baby sleeps thing is played out but I would definitely say it is worth it for you with all the hours you are pulling.
sadie74 I'm working on my work eval too! I just started my new job in July...I think "getting hired here and having a baby" are enough to warrant a great review and raise! :-)
gldnbearz,my dog is so confused too! Especially since she's hung out at home with LO and I for 15 weeks! Now she's there all alone. Poor girl may take this change the hardest of all of us. How is your day going so far? Hanging in there? wildflower810,ahhh I hope your day gets better! jjh1119, I'm sorry to hear about the eczema/infection! Hope the new meds work fast! jax1182014, I would do the same - and don't feel bad about it!
Today isn't too bad so far - but my mom forgot to text me when she fed LO so I pumped a little later than I should. It is totally awkward pumping across from your husband (we work together). His office is the only place for me to do it! And I totally dislike one of the women that works in accounting and hearing her voice again is making me want to puke! She said - in a totally pissed voice - "I didn't know you were coming back today, no one told me." Well no one needed to tell you because it doesn't involve you. Ugh. Joining the world of the living again is going to take some getting used to!

spikesmom, my LO does the exact same thing--to the Tee, except he takes a bottle instead of boob. We have tried not giving the bottle right away and he has the same reaction. I'm hoping it's one of those things he will eventually grow out of, but maybe that's wishful thinking? I have tried baby yoga, gripe water, belly rubs, etc. Sometimes it helps and sometimes he just wants the bottle.
Today was LO's first day at daycare and it has been interesting. I think he caught a cold from me over the weekend so he was a little fussy/boogery. We are going through some fun times teaching them how to feed LO using his special cleft palate bottles. I keep trying to tell them that if he is hungry he will FIND A WAY to get the formula, but they are constantly concerned about his food intake. I guess I should be glad that they are very watchful and concerned, but it is making me stress out.
jjh1119 I hope Liam's skin clears up soon! It's funny what can cause sudden sensitivities. We were going along fine, then all of a sudden my baby can't tolerate any sort of baby wipes. Had to go with cloth, but it took us a while to figure out the problem because they were the same wipes we'd been using since birth. Tried a couple different brands too, but they still broke out her little bootie.
MrsAdventure Sleep deprivation does funny things, huh?
wildflower810 I'm sensing there's a backstory re: your Monday statement...
calimomof1 Our morning "routine" has been different every morning! Sometimes she's awake as soon as my alarm goes off, sometimes she wants to eat twice, sometimes I have to wake her up to get her out the door!

Thanks, littleapplemom and zengal. It's just been a day of one thing going wrong after another. Starting with one of the worst nights of sleep we've had in a month, to even more family drama, to a friend possibly hitting my car (she thinks she did it, I don't know if it's a new scrape or not) to moldy bread, and more. I'm just done with today.
Happy Monday! Hugs and cocktails to all who need them
spikesmom, no advice on sleep to share but I hope it gets better soon.
mrsadventure I haven’t had your exact experience but I’ve had several nights go by where I only vaguely remember what happened during the night. My H thinks it’s great that I don’t wake up all the way so that sleep doesn’t feel as interrupted but it kind of freaks me out. I can’t tell if I just don’t wake up enough or if this is a new coping mechanism.
jjh1119 I’m sure what the doc gave you will work, but if you’re interested in other chemical free non-rx skin stuff for after, Zoe Organics is great. We love their Cream and Everything Balm. Pricey but a little goes a long way, I’ve heard several mamas say their baby bath tea was the only thing the cleared up baby’s eczema. www.zoeorganics.com/ In any case—hope it gets better soon and that your LO isn't uncomfortable. My LO has a small patch of millea on her chin that I know will go away eventually but it drives me crazy.
jax1182014 I can't deal with my in-laws so up in my space. Even though it's extra work on our part, we almost exclusively go to their house so they can see LO.
calimomof1 I am so anxious about what our morning routine is going to be when I start work on Wednesday. I had thought we would do several days of dry-runs ahead of time. Ha.
Went shopping for some new work clothes yesterday. What a completely dismal and discouraging experience! Though it might have been enough to make me kick my sugar habit. Good grief. Everything fit so weirdly. What good are big nursing boobs if they are molded into a weird shape with a nursing bra?!? I assumed they would help balance out my larger-than-normal belly but that seems to not be the case. Ugh.
+1 for Fenugreek. I'm anxious about going back to work and pumping so I started taking it again, even though it potentially effects my mood. Just going to monitor it closely and possibly just suck it up for the sake of the milk.
Thanks everyone, hoping this gets better soon. Poor thing is so patchy and yucky. I felt dumb going to the dr for something that seemed like I would be wasting their time. But definitely glad I went.
It's 47 degrees and so sunny it feels like it's 70. I am currently hanging out at our local park watching the water while liam sleeps in the backseat. I have my boba wrap on and when he wakes up we're going to go for a walk. Can't wait till there's no more snow and we can do this regularly!
ladybird thanks for the Rec! Btw I googled millea and I don't think I have safe search on. The first image was pretty graphic. (A close up of a vagina peeing?!!!?)

I think that's an "artist"/photog with the last name Millea. Yikes. Sorry! I'm an idiot who can't spell my kid's skin condition correctly! It's actually milia. Oof.
Ugh, my whole family is off the rails. DH left on a work trip 5 days ago. Thank GOD my mom came to stay. Thurs & Fri were both snow days, so I would have had both kids alone all day for four days straight. NOPE NOPE NOPE. We all got a horrible cold, DS2 is up and down all night with a cough, DS1 is super clingy with daddy gone, and I feel like death warmed over. My mom has been amazing but I'm pretty sure she's counting down the days til she goes back to her normal life. Where she will promptly get sick, I'm sure. Ugh.
