How many weeks: 6
How big is baby (poppy seed, etc): lentil bean
How are you feeling: couple night woke up at 3,30, 4,30 like I did today. Some nausea upon waking in the am or from naps and my mouth tastes awful! If I haven't drank any water throughout the day (aka. Heads down on a project, forget to sip for an hour) occasional feels in the belly that I can't explain. Yup... Sums me up today!
Any upcoming appointments: can't wait until 3/31!
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? My grandmother! She passed before I was born from breast cancer and I actually got married on her birthday. My mom says she and I would have been best friends and it makes me upset to know I'll never meet her.

Hi November 15- still lurking between October and here. Measuring a few days behind so I could be due 11/3 but doctors are keeping my EDD as 10/31
How many weeks: 7
How big is baby (poppy seed, etc): blueberry
How are you feeling: queasy off and on. If I smell certain foods I want to puke. I am extremely tired. Other than that, I feel good.
Any upcoming appointments: I just had my first u/s this past Thursday. Everything looked great! Healthy heartbeat of 119.
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? My friend Ryan who took his own life. I want to sit down with him and tell him we love him and miss him. I have a lot of questions for him too.
How are you feeling: not too bad nauseated most days, but haven't thrown up. Gassy, constipated, etc.
Any upcoming appointments: 24th, full appt with MW, will hear the baby's heartbeat!
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? My mother's mother. I never met her and have a ton of questions
How are you feeling: I'm ok. I don't really have any symptoms, except I am very tired and sleepy.
Any upcoming appointments: In a cruel twist of fate, my existing sciatica went bonkers exactly 1 week before my BFP. I am usually prescribed a low dose benzo to deal with the nerve pain from my multilple disc herniations. Clearly, that is no longer an option. So, physical therapy starts on Monday to determine a course of action sans medication. It is pretty terrifying to think of dealing with this existing sciatica through carrying a baby and childbirth. Oh, and what happens after that. Also, first pre natal appt soon but no ultrasounds as per Ina May's advice from that Ricki Lake documentary.
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? I would love to have dinner with my Papa, my dad's dad who died when I was 14.
How are you feeling: Good. My worst symptoms have been bloating and gas.
Any upcoming appointments: First u/s next Friday!! I can not wait!
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? My grandpa. He passed when I was young, but I would love to catch up with him now.
She's not. It's a commonly mentioned theory. But I thought it was just suggested that you limit early exposure (like 5/6 wks when nothing can really be seen anyways). I don't have an opinion on it either way, as I'll be getting all the U/S my MW suggests ...
sassypantzz, bradysalon, @babylentilbean, Given the risks I've read about ultrasound, and the fact that I have an autistic sister who is well aware of the limitations she experiences in life, I do not think it is medically necessary at five weeks pregnant. As far as I can tell from my research, at five weeks u/s is only used to determine viable pregnancy (which can be deduced through blood tests) and determining due date (which can be estimated using LMP or O date, which I know). I will be waiting until 8 weeks for first u/s. It's a happy medium to me.
I suppose I wasn't clear on this, but I never said no ultrasounds ever. But thanks to sassypantzz for an unnecessary and pompous rhetoric that I "don't want to know my baby is developing 'appropriately.'"
Well that escalated quickly. momomel, you didn't make it clear that you were just waiting until 8 weeks. It sounded like you were stating you weren't getting any u/s. Also, your tits don't seem to be very cool since you're throwing out the term psycho so quickly.
How are you feeling: Pretty good, tired, usually mid afternoon then I eat something and am fine until late.
Any upcoming appointments: Not yet, I need to call and schedule my first one for 8 weeks.
GTKY: If you could have dinner with any one whose passed on to the next life, who would it be? My grandmothers adopted aunt, to ask her if my grandmother and her brother were actually her biological children adopted by her sister. Also, from what I've learned she sounds like a fascinating person.

Sorry, force of habit. I throw it around a lot sarcastically because I think calling someone psycho is both a funny and endearing comeback when they do or say something that is pretty annoying. Such as "Don't you want to know your baby is developing appropriately??"
Seems it just doesn't come across the same online.

Side note: for a long time I never knew if people actually had written records post-it style, or if it was just a saying on here. One day someone else asked on TD and now I picture a computer monitor covered in multicolored post-its every time it is mentioned.

An excel spreadsheet also works wonders.
I suck so hard at Excel. I just trust the fact that others are better record keepers and have better memories than me on these things. #lazy
