We are going to my mothers. She usually makes lasagna. I think this year she might make ham instead, but I'm not sure. I'm not a big meat eater. No old traditions other than we used to get baskets from the easter bunny. I really want to start creating some traditions. We went to an easter bunny brunch and egg hunt at the zoo yesterday. I'd like to continue doing something like that. I saw on parenting, someone mentioned that the stuffed bunnies in the house help the Easter bunny and her parents would position them all together like they were having a meeting. I think that's really cute and I may steal that idea for next year when he understands a little more.
Nice PA Mom. Other than the dress, what did you get?
2 short sleeve tops (multi-color and one black and white), a red and black long sleeve top, grey long cardigan, and brown pants. I am missing something, but a 6th item too.
What are you all planning for Easter? Any old or new traditions? What do you eat? Who's hosting? What are you most looking forward to?z
We are going to my mom's for an Easter egg hunt with my sister's family and then out to eat for Easter this year. We switch back and forth between DH's family and mine every year. My family mixes it up every year.
We are actually doing a real Easter with B for the first time. Last year she was too little. We have been practicing finding eggs and putting them in a basket so she is ready and this will be her first Easter basket from us! Here is her dress. We tried it on yesterday since I wasn't sure it would fit (bought it last year of clearance). She will wear it with polka dot tights and silver sparkle shoes. She reminds me of Belle
deeds1017, yup. We are heading to queens, we might stop at our old church in Bayonne for service in the morning depending on how traffic is.
O is too cute. I love that she shared her eggs. Yay for surprise hosting! Lol that sounds stressful. Do you at least have a day off this week to get things in order?

I haven't been on here lately. I don't post that often anyway, so maybe I flew under the radar. But we just found out my dad has a 15 centimeter malignant tumor on his kidney. This is out of the blue and a real shock to all of us. My poor sister, she's getting married in less than 3 weeks and this bomb shell fell on us. We are going to the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday to see if the cancer metastisized to the lungs. We already know he has a few nodules that appeared on the abdominal scan, so I just hope the full lung CT doesn't show hundreds. He never smoked, always protected himself from the sun, eats healthy, and works out. This is crazy. He was looking forward to retirement in 5 months to travel with my mom. All of this makes my heart hurt. I am trying to stay positive, but damn it's hard. Any prayers, thoughts, and good vibes sent my dads way for Wednesday would be great.
So far the game plan is remove the entire kidney laproscopically. Possible dialysis if they don't think the other kidney will pick up the slack. Chemo if the cancer is in the lungs as well. My heart is broken. I go through these weird waves of emotion. I'm positive Patty one second, sobbing the next, want to punch someone in the face, and then numb. Repeat.

Thanks for the kick of positivity I needed. I REALLLLLY want my sister and her husband to be to enjoy their day. We are lucky that our dad will be with us to make more memories. THIS WILL BE FUN, DAMNIT.
Deeds said it much better than I can, but sending you hugs, prayers and millions of good vibes @clarkebar. I'm so sorry your family is dealing with this. Hope you get great results on Wednesday, please keep us posted
My old neighborhood had an easter party this weekend, my friend sent a pic of her kid with the Easter bunny. Is it me or does this bunny look like it should star in a B horror movie (I cropped the kid out since she's not mine to share)

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- I have officially done away with DD1's quiet/nap time. We really need that time to homeschool because DD2 makes it impossible. But this means giving up my "me time". I am really sad by this. Like, really sad. Noooooooooooo
We are still going to make her do quiet time in her room when DH is off.
Ugh that doesn't sound fun crunchymama11. Though I can't imagine trying to teach with a little one tearing things up. Hope you can find another way to get some you time

Hugs! I know exactly how you feel. The good thing about homeschooling is that we can go at our own pace. You can do it!
crunchymama11 or anyone else, is the only concern with breastfeeding and allergy medicine the fact that it can effect supply? It's still safe to breast feed right? I can't seem to find a straight answer and it takes forever for the doctor to call back so I figured I would ask. Right now there is an elephant sitting on my face and I would love to take some Claritin or something.

I'm not 100% sure but I think claritin is ok. Benadryl is ok. You can check kellymom.com or infant risk to be sure. You can also use a Neti-pot- my DH loves his during allergy season! Hope your allergies get better!

Weell, today DD1 had to take a nap because she was a bear and DH has school tonight so I am with the girls allllll day and do not want to put up with 2 cranky babies. DD2 is cutting another molar- which is funny because she doesn't have all her other teeth yet. She has 3 on top, 4 on bottom, 1 bottom molar, and getting another bottom molar.

The placenta previa has cleared. The SCH decreased almost a centimeter. I will remain on strict bed rest for another week and SLOWLY start increasing my activities.
Our little fighter was moving around and having fun. The heart rate was 158 and SHE weighs 4 ounces!!
