Dreaming Motrin and a bath got it down to 101.8* so far. She's passed out on my chest in a sleeveless onesie. I'm hoping the Motrin continues to do its job. Poor girl and her teef. She was grinding them constantly and crying the whole time she was awake just now.

So sorry hashtagrainbow. Fevers make me panicky and I feel so helpless. Would she eat anything cool like yogurt or popsicles? My peds office suggested that last time E had a fever but cool bath and Advil kept it manageable for us.
(Side note-it's still Monday night here and I feel like I'm posting into the future! ).
((Hugs)) hashtagrainbow I hope the motrin does its thing... remember you can add tylenol after 3 hours if she needs it.... but hopefully you both can get some sleep...
hashtagrainbow I hope lo's fever breaks soon. Keep us posted! @mummypig how scary! Thank goodness it is nothing serious but still it must have been shocking to see.
@elf828 sometimes, when I'm pumping and I know LO is awake or about to wake up, I try to not look at the monitor because I feel like he'll sense my watching him and start crying sooner. #paranoidmommy
I'm nervous I didn't get up early enough to get everything done before I need to leave for work. Lo didn't wake at 5 to nurse, so I need to nurse him plus maybe pump?

Hey guise. I've been up since 2:30 with the exception of about an hour. I was able to get it down to 101.8* with Motrin and a bath. I kept checking it and it was back down to normal around 530 and I fell asleep for a little while. Just woke up and it's back up to 102* but I can give her more Motrin. At this point I don't know if it's teething or she's actually sick. Poor kid. I'm a trainwreck.
hashtagrainbow - the last time DS had a fever that high, it was a double ear infection. He had no other symptoms (the ear pulling started later). Might be worth getting checked out. Sorry you're dealing with this!

laur I just dosed her Motrin so next go around will be Tylenol. I thought the same too (acetaminophen for fevers) but I personally favor Ibuprofen over it in general.
I'm sorry sleep training sucked. Caffeine for you and hopefully you can ease out of the funk it created.

I would guess she's sick. I've never seen a fever that high that's from teething in my kids or my friend's kids.
Since she'll need to be home today, can you get her in to see her pediatrician?
hashtagrainbow In our experience, E's fevers from teething have been under 100 so it might be a bug. Fingers crossed that you can get her fever down and that you can get some rest.
BabyG's off. No better way to explain it. Low fever last night and a kind of whining in his sleep, along with 7/8 wakings for paci/soothing from mommy. He's sleeping now so I can hop in the shower but I don't have a good feeling about this one.

I'd want to check for an ear infection.
I agree with all of this. Once a fever is over 100, our pedi says it is too high to be teething. I'd take her in since you can't send her back to daycare until she's been fever free for 24 hours.
hashtagrainbow - ugh, I'm sorry L is feeling not-so-great . When DD had a temp of 104 the ER told us to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours, lukewarm bath and make sure she was getting plenty of fluids. Apparently babies can get dehydrated quickly from fevers, which I didn't know. I hope it breaks soon and you both can get done rest (((hugs)))
@mummypig - that's scary! I would have freaked out. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious
@elf828 FX that your day goes smoothly and LO feels well enough to stay at DC!!

hashtagrainbow same as caer, last time a had a fever like that, it was an ear infection. He wasn't pulling at his ears. The pedi said some babies don't. Might be worth putting in a call. Hope l feels better!
Guise, important question. Did any one tell HumblePi that we've moved?
She's here - she posted in megash113's 2u2 thread. As you might imagine, she reports 2u2 is super, her husband is really helpful, the kids are best friends, everything is great and she wouldn't change a thing.
Is anyone else having trouble replying on some threads but not others? I've tried to reply on the BFing thread eleventh billion times and every time I write out a lengthy response it deletes it and says im not allowed access to the board. What's worse is that it randomly works when I post a short question all about me so I feel like a jerk dropping in and not offering any support. Sorry BF ladies! I have all the feels and thoughts about your posts but tapa won't let me talk!
Hugs hashtagrainbow. Poor L & you. I hope she can get it together today & knock that fever thing off!
@mummypig that's scary! I'd be flipped too!
I caked in sick today. My stomach is bothering me & I just altogether need a day in bed. A is on his way to daycare & DH has an interview at 11:30 with NTB! (A friggin reputable company, not this small business renegade BS) I have all my fingers crossed!!
We had a good discussion last night, he tried to weasel out of it. Without going into the boring play by play, he admitted he's been unloading on me & apologized. I told him to remember that we are on the same team & don't attack your teammate. I hope that's the end of that. He needs this job today though. I know you're all rooting for us, I don't want to dominate randoms again today.
