I doon't have a favorite show, but I'm a sucker for a good homne reno show.
$10,000 towards my unpaid maternity leave $10,000 for a few home reno projects we have left to do $15,000 pays off our Rav 4 $15,000 in savings or towards one of our student loans
Snowboarding. Haven't done that much since becoming parents. Cannot WAIT until next year when we take her skiing. If we ever get any snow we'll at least take her sledding this year.
Currently its Homeland. Someone else please tell me they watch it? In life, probably Friends.
yes, pay off our car and then save the rest towards a house/condo. How incredibly boring.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
What is your favorite winter activity? Staying inside!
Favorite TV show? Alias!
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today? $15,000 toward parental leave (I have good coverage at work but M doesn't) $10,000 for another IVF cycle $7,000 for a transabdominal cerclage for M if we can't get it covered and have to go to Chicago to pay for one) $5,000 toward a vacation fund $5,000 for emergency savings $4,000 toward savings for a new car $4,000 "play money"

This is sarahtrpt from the other board. I just wanted to change my name.
I love drinking warm beverages by the fire. I went snow shoeing once when we were in Colorado and loved it. But it wasn't winter and I dont think anyone does that in Missouri.
All time favorite is probably Six Feet Under or Seinfeld. I love Mad Men. I also love Homeland but we don't have Showtime so I am behind a season.
We would use the money towards down payment on a house.
Favorite winter activity: Well, I live in SoCal so really, the same activities as the rest of the time. We use our fireplace more though, which I love. I do love snow and miss being out in it, just not driving.
Favorite TV show: probably The West Wing. with Veronica Mars and Buffy being also in the running.
$50K: probably split it between taking some amazing trips and savings. It wouldn't be enough to wipe out or mortgage or come close, sadly, or I'd be tempted to do that.
Favorite Winter Activity: What is winter I live in Houston. It was 70 today. Other than that I hate cold so counting down to spring?
Favorite TV show: hmm this is a hard one. I love documentaries but not big on TV shows.
If I got $50K today: I would probably put $5K up for a family vote on what to do $5K to finish our adoption and then split the rest towards the boys college funds.

What is your favorite winter activity? Taking warm weather vacations! I also enjoy crocheting by the fire (because I'm an 80 year old woman, trapped in a 30 year old body apparently).
Favorite TV show? Currently - Downton Abbey and Big Bang Theory. Of all time - Friends.
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today? $10,000 on IVF $10,000 for my first semester of grad school $5,000 to pay off some credit cards $25,000 in the savings account
What is your favorite winter activity? I'm in a Houston too so it warm mostly... but I do love to downhill ski in the snow when I can! Favorite TV show? Of all time- Alias or ER but we're a TV on Netflix/HBO Go junkies, so Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Friends, Seinfeld... the list could go on!
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today Another IVF $15K A cruise $5K Savings $30K
Winter activity? Building a fire and then listening to/watching it. Our new house has a wood burning fireplace and it reminds me of growing up in my parents house. Can't be beat (wait, does sitting watching something count as an 'activity'? haha)
TV Show - there's LOTS here admittedly. I watch Lost Girl and am still watching Grey's 11 years later. Love River Monsters and American Horror Story too
50K? I'd proabably spend some on shutters for the front of the house, supplement savings for a new car, and put the rest away for baby.

I never joined this board on TB but I'm interested in joining here, if y'all are open to it. I want to put it out there that neither my partner nor I are LTBT. I was, however, raised by two amazing moms. My husband and I have a daughter and we realize that some day she may ask us about her two grandmas. I'd love to hear this community's insights and advice along the way and I'd be happy to provide the same in return.
Now that that's out of the way. I'll play GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Also sitting by the fire with a glass of red wine (aka hibernating)
Favorite TV show? Homeland & Friends. I also really like HIMYM.
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today Remodel the condo - $15k Pay down student loans - $20k Pay down condo - $15k

What is your favorite winter activity? Taking pictures of nature
Favorite TV show? Right now I am loving Parenthood and HATING that there are only a couple more episodes...I cry, every week! How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today?Pay off our student loans. That isn't very exciting, but it would give us so much freedom with our income that we would be able to do other fun things.

What is your favorite winter activity? I like a walk on a sunny winter day but to be honest i think that drinking wine (although I'm not right now), reading and watching Netflix would be my favourite.
Favorite TV show? Past: The L Word Current: Grey's Anatomy
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today? DS's post secondary fund and a new kitchen.
Alright folks, I'm jumping on to give this place a try! This is my first post, so let's see if my pic and signature came out ok (trying to keep everything mostly the same from TB for now)...
1. If weather is good (ie not bitterly cold and snowing), I love getting a warm cup of something, getting bundled up, and walking around the city window shopping (and maybe a little actual shopping). For an indoor alternative, the same thing at the mall? HAHA - can you tell I like shopping? Or going to the movies! That is an activity I currently miss.
2. I have lots of favorite shows, so it is hard to pick! I would say my current fave in the drama category is NCIS and my current fave in the comedy category is Mike & Molly.
3. Down payment for our next house. Without a doubt!

What is your favorite winter activity? We don't really have a winter where I live, but I do love planning long weekends up in the mountains, renting a cabin and enjoying the snow. We usually go for hikes with our dogs and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.
Favorite TV show? Right now, I am addicted to Parenthood. I am watching it on Netflix, am already on season 3 and plan to watch it everyday until I have watched all episodes.
How would you spend $50,000 if you got it today? We are in a good place right now financially, so I would put it all into savings. The sound of a $50k eFund sure makes me feel good.
