Ok ladies here's a few shots from the photo shoot. I let DH take the photos so they are not the best quality. Can't wait till we get the professional photos back!
Omg adorable!! Happy birthday LO!!
Re: the illustrations... I loved the phone one too. I totally screen shot it and sent it to dh this morning lol
Agreed! Ditto. How exciting, only thing happening over here is whether to go with Rice or Oatmeal for her first meal this weekend lol.
I was having the same debate recently haha! Let me know what you decide. Here's my debacle... oatmeal has more nutrients nut contains gluten. Rice is gluten free and could be easier on baby's stomach. At least that what some reading indicated. I hate that everything is available at our fingertips and makes decisions like these so hard. It's silly.
It is the same company. Supposedly I am working with the "branch manager."
The first pull 5hat we got the approval from the automated uw system had disputes on it. We told them we were disputing things on the report and we were told by the company it wasn't a big deal at all. We drop over a grand on inspections and engineer and appraisal and good faith because we had the approval from them.
We have been more than upfront on everything with them and they seem so unorganized in their job and what they should be experts on.
If we have another delay because of the report today I'm walking. I don't see why we can't get manually underwritten at this point with someone that has common sense.
mrscatfarmer13, I'm leaning toward oatmeal is that what you used ?
Yes, we skipped rice all together. Sorry I missed your first post about this, I skimmed everything when I got back from my meeting and must have missed it.

vlagroupie so stinkin cute! I've been on the fence about whether or not to do a cake smash photo shoot but I think this seals the deal for me. Have to do it!

It was fun! She ended up getting cake all over her. The photog had a sink and paper towels to clean her up. But I should have come with some towels to wipe her down. At the end she knocked the cake over and kicked her legs in it, she was crazy!!
I'm so aggravated trying to find a place to live. I'm about to throw in towel and stay in the apartment we're in now. I'm just so over it.
There are so many good areas. It kinda depends on what you like and what you are looking for. What's most important? School systems? Certain location? Getting the most home for the $? Large yard? Older home/ new home? private school/ public/?

I'm sorry. It's so stressful. I was in your boat 4 years ago being new to Cincy trying to figure out where to live. I totally understand how taxing it can be emotionally. And I didn't even have a baby to worry about then. Are you looking for a home to buy or a different place to rent?
Renting a house in a residential neighborhood is actually a great idea. The rent can be expensive but at least you will know for sure what you think of the area- the types of neighbors you have- ask about schools.
I would totally live in Kenwood, Hyde Park, Mt. Adams, possibly Anderson... That's about as far north as I'm ever going. But we'll stay put because I know schools here- that's our priority- and I love being close to downtown.

So to answer everyone's questions, we want to buy, it's the goal, but we're going to rent for another year or two; only because we want to be in the best financial position possible, which means using the income from my job to pay off all debt not including student loans. We have been browsing some sales though so we have an idea.
DH really wants to stay in the area we're in (Mason), but this is a pricier area, so the rents are much higher than I'm comfortable with, keeping the home buying goal in mind. We NEED more space. We're in about 850 sq. ft. right now. We have two bedrooms, so my "office" is in our bedroom. We need a third bedroom desperately, or at least more space. Also, if we go for baby #2, the third room is an absolute must.
I'm just so frustrated that what we see in this area is just overpriced, so to get what we want in the price range we want we need to go about 25 minutes in any direction. Andplusalso, where I live its relatively updated, and ugly kitchens are bathrooms really gross me out bad; I can't help it, which is all I'm seeing in cheaper areas.
Random- I feel like a champ for making it through today. On a trip with DD, SIL and her three DDs to visit my other SIL and her family in TN. We survived the car ride without too much trouble. At one point though we were at a long dead stop on a country road with construction shutting down the road, and DD is of course at her wits end so I hopped back in the van and fed her while we were stopped. Not a fan but at least it kept her happy.
Rant- I am exhausted mostly from all the talking! I'm more on an introvert and my SIL and her kiddos talk non stop. I need a noise break. Also I miss DH and it's only day 1.
