Quilters unite!! Now that I have a proper crafting space I dug out my sewing machine and rediscovered my love of quilting. I love looking up different patterns. So show me your quilts!

Here's a pink and girly one I'm working on now. The pattern is really fun I think :-). I miss calculated the fabric I needed for the backing so I had to add a second color in. But no worries it looks great that way.
And the other is my favorite one I've ever made. Cutest baby quilt for the cutest nephew
MadApple your lines are so straight. I'm jealous. I'm still fairly new to quilting but I struggle with keeping my lines straight. Any tips?
also I'm in love with that triangle baby quilt. Adding it to my list of must try patterns.
Thanks! They look much straighter from far away.
My biggest piece of advice for straight lines is to just sew slowly. It's easier to keep things on track if you are going slowly. Most of my lines are near a seam, so I just line the seam up with the edge of my machine's foot so I can use it as a guide. When I'm sewing across a quilt/not next to a seam, I use a quilting guide (the metal thingy that attaches to a walking foot) to help keep lines straighter and to keep my line spacing even. I mark the first line, usually somewhere in the middle, with a hera marker. I don't like the hera marker though. Some people swear by them, but I don't feel like I can see the line easily enough when sewing. If I know I'll be washing the quilt, I sometimes use a water-soluble marking pen.

Here are some of my quilts, spread out as usual for baby girls play area. She LOVES them and brings them to me to lay out each day. Most of these are my earlier quilts, except the black one and I-spy one.

saltypearl. Even though I didn't use a pattern (I've only ever used a pattern once) it did come together quite easily. The hardest part was making sure I had the right combination of prints spread out evenly. But that's been the same with every quilt I've made. I can spend hours fussing over the layout until it's 'close enough'.
I hope it's okay to bump an older thread here .. Just discovered this board (yay!) and was browsing threads and just had to add I absolutely DIG all your quilts! And thanks to seeing some of your patterns I'm now very inspired to give it a try some time (with help of my mum, who used to make quilts and sew all the things when I was little).

You ladies are so talented!!!!
I am quite the amateur quilter but I have so much fun doing it. I only have pictures of my most recent baby quilt, and I can't even find a full picture!
