I have banana toothpaste for B. He gets to use the wet brush and then we put the toothpaste and try to brush. Dentist recommended flossing one row bc it is a little crowded but we haven't tried yet.
LOs dentist said he had no need for fluoride toothpaste yet and even though some recommend it LO showed no signs of needing fluoride at this time. We also are 'fortunate' enough that LOs teeth are all touching so we have been instructed to floss daily wherever his teeth touch. THe dentist recommended those little pick things and so far LO seems okay with them. I always lay him on his back on the glider ottoman and rock him a bit, and we sing while I floss. Not fun, but so far I have all my fingers.
She's huge on imitating so we just let her see us do it and she's all about it. We have a routine: bath, ears, teeth, lotion and pj's. She knows what comes next and gets excited about it.
We still use a wash cloth, our hygenist said if it was easier to do it that way then it was fine. He doesn't have very many teeth anyway so it's easier to get the few he has with a cloth. We have a multi-vitamin with flouride that he gets every two - three days.
