Your LO uses a regular cup successfully? I must be doing something wrong. :/
Yup. I don't give her a sippy any more. She has a water bottle with a straw as well. I never gave her handles on her cups. She always had to grab the cup. And with my sippy I was able to take the restraint thing out that makes you have to suck on it (and prevents spills). Did that for a while off and on. Did a lot of assisted open cup (I'd hold it at the bottom and top lip, and she tilted it). Then I just said fuckit and took the lid off. I learned only to give one or two oz at a time tops. And the second she comes up for air I take it back and set it down. I refill another oz if she drinks it all. Only with meals or sitting down at the table. We used this: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00318CLOQ/ref=pd_aw_sim_ba_2?refRID=1CF2F56TEG28Y4DGJTAW but skipped the tall one and never used handles.
This isn't your first rodeo with sippy cup to real cup transition is it? Even though it isn't mine the fact there is 12 years between my 2 makes me feel like this is my first rodeo bc I know nothing!

Nah. It was dumb luck. Logic is that sippys are transitional. Meant to slow the flow between free flow and bottle. So the second it "clicked" for a little faster flow, I increased the flow until she was good at it. Repeat until at open cup. She's my first.

Goo job! Now I'm thinking about getting cups without the handles.
I made it to 6 months and then quit, although we still have frozen milk we are trying to use up. I wish I could have gone longer and I had originally planned to BF until LO was on straight solids, but with not pumping at work my supply started dwindling to the point where I had to pump for so long for just a bottle or 2 that it wasn't worth it. LO is happy and healthy though! and my freezer stash is still taking up too much space. gotta get it used up.
Hi ladies ! 13 months and going. She's nursing first thing before daycare, after work and sometimes before bed. Sometime motn if she's going nuts or sick. Is in the process of dropping a wcm bottle at daycare - changes everyday depending on her mood and her eating that day.
LO also uses a real cup - thank you daycare. And water in a straw sippy all day. She nurses on demand on the weekends.
