Oh yeah I forgot! He does say uno, dos. He doesn't know what that means yet but it's adorable.
I don't think it matters that he doesn't know what it means bc that will click soon enough. The fact that he is counting is amazing to me. It makes me feel like I'm slacking so I started counting and singing the abc song throughout the day. Maybe she will catch on. Who knows.
He says dad, mama, nana (for banana), car, dog, no, eese (for cheese) and we are working on cracker.
He also waves bye bye, claps, high fives, will hit your hand if you say pound it haha.
hah hah hah! Love it! My brother taught DD1 to pound it at around 18 months (I think? Maybe closer to 2?). He'd put his fist out and she'd hit it with her fist and shout "pound it!" It cracked me up and she loved it.
We have mama, dada, and all done over here. Like some others said, he is not as advanced as his older sister was in the language department at his age, but I think that's pretty common for second children.

First word was Ball & uh oh. He now says mama & tries to say the kitties name but it sounds like buh. He also says mama & hi, bye and signs milk all done & more. He also says mmmmmmm when he wants to eat.
We had quesadillas the other night & I said it and he repeated it (enough that I got what he was repeating & so did my mom) it was mostly the inflections I used when saying it but it was adorable. I love the imitation stage
We've got mama, dada, and up used in context. He says yeah, hey, pup and a few others out of context. There was like a week where he kept saying shyess(sounded like a mix of shit and yes)...That reaffirmed that we needed to stop cussing Then, he stopped saying it altogether! I wish he would learn yes or no. I would think he'd have said no by now, but maybe that means when we say it, he really isn't listening haha

DS says mama, dada, hey, hi, what you doing (probably because when he's doing something silly or that he's not supposed to I ask him that), woof, and what sounds like puppy.
Uhuo, mama, dada, ba (bottle), and can imitate the inflection in your voice (so if you say "what's that" he will babble the same pattern of sounds- but not say the words.)
OOOH, LO also says HI but only to cats and dogs! He does not clap or wave hello or goodbye!
J loves to clap. Whenever he hears clapping on TV he claps along. He just started waving this week.
We are very big on clapping and waving too. DD will pick up her daycare bag at the end of the day, walk towards the ex it and wave to her teachers (even if I'm still in the room talking to other people lol).

Yes, LO likes clapping and waving, too. The other day at the grocery store, I was pushing her in the cart through the parking lot back to the car and she was waving at everyone like a beauty queen. LOL
Dada, mama, carter ( for the dog) whats that, cup and just today started with "hi". WE just got tubes put in his ears two weeks ago and my pedi thinks his vocabulary will improve a lot in the next few months as he had some pretty moderate hearing loss.
DH and I are not big talkers. I have to remind myself to talk around her. With that said, she will say Mama, Dada, and Booboo (the dog). she does sign more, drink and all done. there is a lot of uh sounds (with the infliction of a question) with pointing when she wants something. periodically when I put her shoes on in the morning I say sock and shoe she will repeat goo (its close)

So far we have dada/daddy, eh-dee (big sister is Melody), chez (cheese), all done, that/thetta (English and Icelandic) bless bless (Icelandic for bye bye), yah, mama a few times, ah-dad (what he calls his grandpa, the word in Icelandic is Afi), and we think he is trying to say his name! Big sister struggles with "r" sounds so she calls him Thodinn, and he started repeating "Dinn" when we say his name.
He has always been more about talking than moving. Although now he is cruising and the movement is rapidly catching up. He does a few signs like all done and more.
It's really interesting to watch him learn in 2 languages. He understands more Icelandic than I sometimes realize and responds appropriately.
