2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight 8 lbs at birth, 16 lbs 13 oz at 4 month check up (oh boy she's a chunker) 3-Birth length Vs 4 month length 20 inches at birth, 24.5 inches at 4 month check up 4-Eating cereal(s)? Nope! Dr said to wait till 6 months and I have no desire to start her on them now (I love the BFing bond) Although, I think she's become interested in food...
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... My LO thinks body noises are hilarious. I got the cutest laughs out of her by making fart noises.
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight - 6lbs 12oz; now 13lbs 12oz
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length - 19 inches; now 23.5
4-Eating cereal(s)? - no not yet, our pedi said to start introducing rice cereal/oatmeal around 5-5 1/2 months! Looking forward to that! She did however say we can give him a little juice (water-down) to help with pooping. Have not done that yet, because ready some mixed reviews....
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... I just love how he is developing his own little attitude and some times temper!!! He also loves to touch and pull out german shepherds ears (who is a good sport about it). I guess right now I am just toying with the idea of the apple prune/pear juice, anyone ever heard of this? (Side-note: I fully trust my doctor, just was curious)
When my son was a baby he had trouble pooping and my pediatrician had me give him watered down pear juice. It worked for us, and it wasn't really sweet so it didn't get him hooked on juice.

We also did the pear juice for my first baby due to constipation issues. I think we did one ounce (it was 6 years ago so I don't remember). It was the pediatricians recommendation and it did work.

I am glad to hear it worked! Right now I am trying Apple prune, but I might try the pear juice instead to see if that works better! Yeah so far he loves the Apple prune, but doesn't seem to be "hooked", so I am happy about that!

Yeah my pediatrician said it should work and it is totally fine, I just ready way to much on the Internet! We started out with half ounce of juice and water, but then decided that it wasn't really doing anything and changed to one ounce. I am currently using Apple prune but I think next time I will try the pear juice and see how that works!

1-Birthdate 12/11
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight 8 lb 5 oz vs 15 lb 10.5 oz
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length 21" vs 25"
4-Eating cereal(s)? Not yet. I let her try some whipped cream the other day. She nursed on a strawberry. I'll give her watermelon in a mesh feeder. Doc today said no need to start solids since her weight gain is good and she seems contented with what we've been doing
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... My AW is that my baby is a freaking unicorn. She's been STTN since she was about 6 weeks. She got her shots today, screamed at doc office in the exam room but once she got strapped in her car seat, she was fine (I nursed her after shots). She was happy and smiling when we went to Target afterwards. She really is a happy kiddo. (edited to add: I know that now I've said this, she'll turn into demon baby)

1. January 8, 2015
2. 7lb2oz at birth, 13lb6oz at 15 weeks (not quite 4 months, but her appointment isn't until the 25th)
3. 20 inches even at birth, was 24 5/8 inches this week!
4. Mina is still exclusively on the boob.
5. Mina LOVES to talk. Everywhere we go, she has to babble and chat if we stop to visit. She also talks to the cowboys on the tv at my grandma's house (Encore Westerns, all day), and also critiques the Cardinals on their playing (also at my grandma's).
DS is a string bean. 8 lbs 9 oz at birth. 12 lbs 9 oz now 21 inches at birth. 25 inches now.
The doctor is concerned about his weight gain. He's BF and I pump for while I'm at work. I ordered a scale from Amazon to weight him before and after nursing to see how much he is taking.
Born 12/21 weighing 7 lbs 7 oz and 19.25 inches long. Now 15 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches long. No cereal or solids. He's still EBF and we plan on doing BLW.
1) birthdate- 12/5/14 2) weight at birth- 7lb11oz, now somewhere over 18lbs 3) height at birth- 20.5" and now 27" 4) cereal?- no we are waiting and will start solids at 6months 5) aw- so glad I didn't buy any expensive clothes and kept his wardrobe to a minimum because we are already buying 12mo outfits!!

I think I mentioned in the ICYOT thread that I had to take him in a day before he turned 5 mos for a little rash. Well, they weighed him, and he's now 19lbs 14 oz! (And just under 27") How on earth did I end up with the heaviest baby? That just seems kind of wrong. Ha!!
Right? Tall but thin for her height! I'm taller than average but not outrageously so, ditto with DH, so she will likely chill out on the height. Most of her energy seems to be going into intellectual development right now and I am exhausted. She is starting to learn signs, she needs constant entertainment, she loves songs with actions and movement, she is really into books, she is always just staring down everyone in the room, but especially strangers... why can't you just chill on your playmat and learn how to roll?! (Kidding, obviously.)
This is my LO. He's surprisingly good with his hands so far. He holds them up and stares at them sometimes, especially before he falls asleep for naps. And he loves books and music. Especially books - he gets so excited and kicks his feet when I start reading. I love it! But yes, it's a little exhausting.
He has rolled both directions, but once he figured it out, he pretty much stopped trying. I still find him on his side sometimes, but I have to nudge him over to his stomach, and he refuses to roll back over to his back.
4-Eating cereal(s)? Pedi said we could start any time now, but recommended looking for cues, like if LO is still hungry after a bottle ( I EP) and if he becomes really interested in watching us eat. He's definitely interested, but if like to wait a bit longer. I'd like LO to be sitting independently, and at least 5 months, though I think I'd prefer waiting until 6 months based on recommendations and articles I've read.
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc...[/quote] Still on antibiotics to prevent UTI. We started round 2 of steroid cream due to right foreskin. It's *finally* loosening, so I'm hoping the urologist will discontinue antibiotics at our next follow up. Looking forward to June when he can be circumcised, but also nervous as hell. I hate the thought of my baby in the OR, even for a minor procedure.
LO uses his feet for everything. He was holding an oball toy with his left foot, left hand and spinning the rings with his right foot. His aim and coordination was awesome. Still need to get better with the hands.

Wow, that's impressive! My LO still completely ignores his feet. I've put his hands on them, but he has zero interest.
Cereal? Nope, but I've let him suck on orange, honeydew, pineapple, and cantaloupe, all of which he seemed to like!
Other: I'm in awe of how personable he is. Maybe it's just a baby thing, but people are enchanted by him wherever we go! I'm also in awe of how proud I am of him. Every day, I'm amazed by how wonderful he is. He has slept amazingly well since birth, which I'm so incredibly grateful for. I love how much he loves me, and I'm the happiest I've ever been. I feel like this is what I was meant to do.
Wish I could love this more than once! Aside from the sleep bit (which is much, much better now, finally), I can relate to every word of this. I'm so happy and grateful to have him in my life. He's such a bright little spirit. I'm amazed by it.

Yeah its one if those I wish I had on video. I just was like wtf and kept watching. Maybe he will play soccer. Lol
We just turned 4 months and had our appointment so I wanted to participate too! Sometimes it sucks being at the end of the month even though normally I love it because I benefit from you all experiencing growth spurts, regressions and milestones first!
1-Birthdate
12/28/2015
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight
Birth weight was 9 lbs 3 oz. Now he is 15 lbs 8 oz. I thought he was big until I saw some of your babies measurements!!!
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length
21 at birth. 25 3/4 now!
4-Eating cereal(s)?
Just had our appointment yesterday and she cleared us to start solids. I really wanted to hold off honestly but my husband was excited to participate in feeding the baby so I let him make some steamed broccoli. Seeing how excited the boy got (he was legit grabbing the spoon and pulling it to his mouth and then he would do his excited squirm while waiting for another bite) makes me think it probably is the right time to start. I'm a little sad. He's just growing up sooo fast.
Four month shots went pretty well. He did cry inconsolably and sooo hard after he woke up from his first big nap. Makes me feel terrible but once I got him calmed down and gave him some Tylenol for the pain, he's been great the rest of the day. The first time we got shots, the nurse did one in each leg. This time a different nurse did both in the same leg. I think I like that much more because I only have to be careful with one leg. It was so hard to try to not touch both last time.
Birthday 1/1 Birth weight: 9lbs 8oz 4mo: 13lbs 7.5oz Birth length: 22inches 4months: 25.5 inches Cereals- not yet. Pediatrician said we could start if we wanted to. EBF DS1 until 6months and had planned to do the same with LO. AW- rolling front to back and can make it onto his side from back.
4-Eating cereal(s)? Our pediatrician recommended that we start introducing solids when she shows interest. Man oh man, it's been two weeks since our appointment and she's constantly chewing when licking her lips when we eat. We gave in last night and fed her poi (we live in Hawaii). She LOVED it. It's usually the first food to introduce to Hawaiian babies.
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc.. Time is going by way too freakin' fast. Someone please hit the slow motion button.

Another D14 turned J15
1-Birthdate -- 1/2/15
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight -- 7lb 11oz v. 14lb
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length -- 20" v. 25.25"
4-Eating cereal(s)? -- only BM. Won't start solids til 6mo
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... I miss the baby that slept from 7:30pm- 7 am with one wake up at 3am. The past few nights she is up every 3 hours.
Late to the party too. She just had her 4 month checkup on Thursday.
1-Birthdate 12/17
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight 7lb 3oz now 13lb 1 oz
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length 19.75" now 24.75"
4-Eating cereal(s)? No, just BM. She's had a little taste of banana and sweet potato, but I'm going to wait closer to 6 months to start feeding her solids on a regular basis. Until then, I'll just give her little bits of fruits/veggies here and there if she shows interest...I think we may skip cereal.
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... I'm just glad she's gaining weight! She's still so small, but she went from the 12th percentile to 19 so that makes me happy. She's still a fussy little thing sometimes and I'm pretty sure it's reflux, but pediatrician was hesitant to rx anything since she said babies usually grow out of it around 6 months. So we're trying gripe water and hoping it'll help.

1-Birthdate: January 6th so shes four months old today!
2-Birth weight Vs 4 month weight: birth weight was 8lb 4oz and she's a chunky 15lb 7oz
3-Birth length Vs 4 month length: 21 inches at birth. As of yesterday she is 25 and 3/4 inches long.
4-Eating cereal(s)? We were given the OK to start her on cereal and purees but we are waiting until after the surgery to introduce anything new into her system.
5-AW, anything goes-questions, concerns, funny stories, etc... I love that her personality is really starting to come out. I have a feeling that she is going to ve a force to be reckoned with
