My kids and my nephew who is turning 16 in May loved toy story! My middle loved woody soooo much ! He called him "hat" when he was a baby ! I hope lo loves that movie too so many great memories with all my favorite boys watching it.
bdblz I have both of those on DVD. I've spent years slowly getting all the Disney movies as they were released from the vault though, so I'm not sure if they are available now. Check amazon!
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite but I love them all so much. My husband and I get at least one new animated movie a year and normally get several. I'm getting Big Hero 6 for my birthday.
So...I've actually been wondering how old you all think our little ones would have to be to enjoy a movie in the theater? Since I work at a theater, I get free movies for me and 5 other people so I've been dying to take the baby. But I want him to enjoy it so I was thinking maybe his first theater movie would be Kung Fu Panda 3 next March? Does that seem too early or maybe he would have fun before that? Any insight???
Im loving all the disney remakes at the moment. I took my cousin to see Cinderella a couple of weeks ago and i hear they are doing Beauty and the Beast aswell, cant wait!!
My friend and me were talking about what she would want to name her future baby if it was a boy, and I asked her little girls opinion and she said "Lucifer!" I was like yikes no where'd you get that idea ?! Cinderella of course cracked me up

DH and I looove animated movies. LO's middle name was inspired by the Princess and the Frog (new-school Disney, I know) DH is a big fan of Miyazaki although I have to admit I don't know much, I've only seen Spirited Away, but he's excited to watch all of his movies with DSS and LO. We're also big Pixar people.
Side note- I've been enjoying watching a lot of Disney movies with DSS that I haven't seen since I was a kid, and we watched the Hunchback of Notre Dame the other day which came out when I was about his age. That movie was my jam when I was little but I never realized how many creepy things that happen, especially having to do with religion. Um hello, the whole song number about how Esmeralda must die because her dancing is causing the dude too much temptation? Wtf?
I caught DH watching Frozen with DS one night when DS was a newborn and DS would stay up with him while I went to bed early. It was so sweet. We dont intend to introduce TV for awhile so I have no idea what his first official movie would be.

I've never been super into disney movies, I like Pixar fine, but my kids cured me from liking any too much by watching the same ones over and over and over and over and over. I will say that the Lego movie is actually really good and I can recite almost every line at this point.
This order : Episode 4: A New Hope, Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, and Episode 6: Return of the Jedi. I think that's right...
