Ok, since we're on the topic of showers, I try to get a shower twice a week. And I probably only wash my hair one of those times. I used to HAVE to wash every day to every other day (if I put my hair in a pony on the second day) but then I stopped using shampoo (I used baking soda and apple cider vinnegar for a long time, now I use Wen).
Thank you...the results weren't favorable, unfortunately. They found some precancerous cells. I'll be going back in July for another colposcopy/biopsy to see how/if they've changed and to develop a plan from there. From what I've read, it seems very treatable if caught early, so I'm hoping for low-level intervention that won't impact my fertility. Just trying to stay positive and not think too much about it. It's beyond my control now!
I hope all goes well. My sister was in her 20's when they found the same. They were able to remove them with success.
mgk207 I am sorry to hear the colposcopy didn't turn out as planned. I had to have one a few years ago and had the same results with some pre-cancerous cells found. They did a LEEP procedure and all has been well since. It also didn't affect me being or getting pregnant. I was nervous about my cervix being weakened because of it but they just did frequent cervical length checks. Fx all goes well for you and keep us updated!
