As I said the other day I had to take my cat to the vet last night because she hasn't been able to jump. They found a tender spot on her spine and had to take an X-ray. No fracture but an irregular spot that doesn't look normal. They are just hoping pain meds work...otherwise they want her to go to a neurologist. I didn't even know cats went to speciality vets. So far one dose of pain meds didn't really change anything, she had to take a break on the steps bc she couldn't make it down. She's only 4.5-5 years old..but so far it's not looking good. She seems to have declined so quickly. This is really a pity party post so sorry to be a Debbie downer. I just really hope tomorrow she'll be back to her old self.
Hit enter too soon, but I fell asleep nursing DD last night, and when I woke up two hours later, the house was dark and DH was nowhere to be found. I flipped out when he didn't answer when I called out his name or answer his phone because when I went to put LO to bed he was out running errands.
I found him asleep on the couch. Apparently when he got home last night, he thought I was still nursing her, so he laid down on the couch to wait for me so we could watch the rest of Jane the Virgin. Whoops.
Bright side? LO got an extra nursing session out of it.

One of my co-workers is friends with the guy who got drafted #14 overall last night.
My BIL is a sports trainer for the Royals. He has a ridiculously gotty ring from the world series. WHO will wear that? I guess if you want to give other men hard ons.
It's been a crazy week. I'm 3/4 of the way through my events for the week but I still have 3/4 of the photos left to edit. Since one of those events was for a friend I took way more photos than usual and included a mini maternity session AND then some of the darn files got corrupted, which I've been trying to recover, so that one is taking FOREVER. Add to that the fact that my kid's been extra clingy and avoidant of naps so it's all taking way longer than it should.
Once upon a time I thought working from home was the best of both worlds. Nope.
The working from home gif is solid truth. It's why I now have a nanny and an office.
I just saw one of my dog's toys in the hallway out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was a living cat. I wasn't even mad just wondering how the kitty got inside.
Stupid question, when you do a sugar detox are you allowed to eat fruit and other things with natural sugar?
I've heard it depends. Most people are just wanting to avoid refined sugar, but others are trying to keep blood sugar balanced. High sugar fruits like bananas are usually the ones you avoid in the latter case.

Ugh, diets where fruits and veggies are restricted seem nuts to me. I once did a diet where I couldn't eat any starchy or sugary foods, including fruits and veggies, and it was so painfully limited.

That moment when you pat yourself on the back for eating oatmeal for breakfast and a lean cuisine for lunch....and then eat half a sleeve of crackers with crunchy peanut butter (aka "emergency desk snack") immediately after lunch. And now I want cookie doe, too.
You know I'm sick when: - H opened a bottle of wine last night and poured each of us a glass. I drank half and gave him the rest. - H made cookies for dessert. I fell asleep before they were done.
But, I borrowed a unicorn last night who didn't wake up until 6:30!
I feel much better this morning. I'm participating in Law Day, where area students come to the court for mock trials and a Q&A. Should be fun.
