I recently started prayer shawl 2.0 in the trinity stitch. I'm burned out on white yarn and looking forward to the end. Too bad I have at least 39" left.
GTKU: I usually shop sales and use coupons. I also love clearance aisles and when people think kindly and give me supplies or pay for projects! My aunt once paid for burp cloths with a donut shop gift card. I was happy.
I didn't do a ton this week- working on another Feliz dress for DD's end of school year presentation, making some zipper bags to hold my niece's new Mr. Sketch/Smencil/Smelly Sticker/Scented Gel Pen birthday present for this weekend. I might actually get pics of both of those when the time comes!
GTKY: Oh, sales and coupons and camelcamelcameling on Amazon. I'm cheeap, but, I appreciate quality and almost always take time to shop around (online) for the best price.
I have not done a whole lot of actual crafting because I have been going through and organizing my loot I picked up this weekend (some bought, some hand-me-down). I have been feeling like a kid on Christmas morning since Saturday. I picked up the item and fabric a Mother of the Bride wants used on a project for her daughter's wedding. I had done a rough design based on photos she had sent me, but now that I have the item to measure, I have been slowly starting to detail my design. I need to pick up a couple of things before I can actually do much sewing on it though. I started crocheting a dish cloth while I was sitting outside watching LO blow bubbles, but am only about an inch and a half into it. I cut out the structural supports for two bins I am making. That is pretty much it.
GTKY: I shop sales, use coupons now that I have better access to an actual craft store sometimes, and look for clearance/remnants. I found remnants this weekend in the exact two colors I wanted for the bins I am working on as well as a piece I can use for a pillow case for a giant pillow (not enough for both sides, but I'll use that patterned piece for the front and a solid color for the back). I once in a great while get a hand-me-down (that's how I got my old sewing machine which was actually almost new as well as one I picked up this weekend). Sometimes you can get stuff at auctions or garage sales. I don't go much, but my mom does and once filled her back seat with fabric for a relative who quilts and spent like $5. Part of my loot from this weekend was actually from a sale because I happened to tag along with MH to that one sale on our way to the lumber yard. My finds included rotary cutter blades, numerous sewing machine needles, fabric pencils and pens, a darning plate, a sewing machine foot, and some batting all still in the packaging plus an older sewing machine complete with manual, accessories, maintenance records, etc. I didn't even need the sewing machine, but it was higher end and more capable than mine, not to mention a steal at less than 1% of its original purchase price. I got everything there for far less than the Subway sandwiches MH and I got while out and about that day.

I made the cutest apron ever for my mom for Mother's Day. I think I'll have to make one for myself. I'm pretty proud of it. It's my first "clothing" item. The ruffles were the biggest challenge and they didn't come out perfect but it wasn't bad for my first.
Not sure what my next project will be. I have some fabric left over from the apron so I may make some pot holders or something simple.
GTKY: I don't go to Joanns or Any craft store without at least one coupon for something I'm going to buy. That teaches me a little patience because sometimes I have to wait around for a coupon.

I'm kind of a crafty lurker and usually post on my BMB, but LOVE the apron! Do you have the pattern?

Sure! This is the pattern I used. Her instructions aren't the clearest but I got it figured it out eventually.
I am almost done round 2 of cutting for my nephew's quilt (one strip left). It's been so beautiful out that I've been gardening instead.
GTKY: I have the Michaels app on my phone, hit up the dollar store for any acrylic paints or minor scrap booking type items.
I had been shopping for fabric at a discount fabric store but I found with this quilt that it was actually cheaper to purchase at a quilt shop and the quality is so much better.
