mgk207 sinus infections take forever to go away - feel better!
Mine is that I started the Ferber method and DS has never slept better. I don't find it to be cruel at all (as long as you baby is developmentally ready)
mayflower15 what no chipotle?! You gotta try a bowl.
Edited to add: I'm not really in a hurry to do solids either. I like being the sole source of food for him, solids means he is getting bigger and more independent which makes me sad, and solid poop diapers ?
Exactly my thoughts on solids! Hope it goes away soon mgk207 - ask DH if you smell?

My TMIFFFC - recently used up all our condoms and we've been NTNGP because we are crazy/impulsive/lazy and would be fine with whatever. But the confessional part is - we DTD in the living room the other day. Once all was said and done I needed something to clean up down there before making a dash to the bathroom. The closest thing to me was a rumparoo insert. Then the question became does this insert go in diaper laundry or adult laundry?
1. I don't stop what I'm doing because LO is crying. I'll finish my shower, doing the dishes, making the bed, etc.. My thought is that as long as she's crying she's breathing and she is most likely fine... 2. I love that LO started sitting so early. But now she always wants to be sitting. Ugh, lay down child! Just chillllll. 3. Pregnancy made me addicted to sugar. I'm sure if I stopped I would be under my prepregnancy weight. 4. I'm also in no hurry to start solids. I plan on waiting until 6 months. Stay my baby!
I'm also in no hurry to start solids. TBH, its kind of pain in the ass when they start solids because you either have to sit there and spoon feed them or if you do BLW, there's always a mess to clean up. It's so much easier to just put them on the boob.
I love this stage of babyhood. They still aren't really mobile, they only eat one thing, they still love to cuddle, they don't cry as much anymore (usually), they still sleep a lot and they smile a lot. It's the golden age. lol
I've never had Chipotle, but I am going to make a special trip about 45 minutes away tomorrow for some Qdouba.
And we have done a few solids here and there, but have been kind of lazy about it. He hasn't had any since like Sunday. In all fairness, I've had to work late all week and it's bedtime by the time we get home.
Miss Killjoy I have also been wondering if it is time to get DS on more of a schedule. His naps are erratic and he has too much fomo to want to sleep at daycare.
I was just about to bring up Qdoba. I like Chipotle too, but sometimes I want my food smothered in queso. Also qdoba's veggies are so yum (zucchini!) and I don't care if they have GMOs. Does anyone have Cafe Rio nearby? I have always heard it was good.
@txaggie08 LOL at elf baby. I don't think Miss Killjoy's baby looks like an elf.
Here's another one: I haven't heard most of those songs mentioned in the music thread. For whatever reason I am not usually in the mood for music in the car.
1. To go along with all the solid talk, I'm super excited to start them, but also really super sad. One because I think, although messy, it will be so much fun. Then again, I don't want him to keep growing up. He is already too big. I also like being the sole source of nutrition.
2. I always plan to take my showers when LO is awake. I could totally get them done while he is asleep, but I'd rather do it when he is awake and someone else is watching him. I just like the few minutes to myself.
I don't live near a chipotle so I've never had it. I agree with @txaggie08 the gulf is disgusting ! But it's my husbands favorite place in the world and he's been going there since he was a little boy. I let my kid watch tv while I tidy up the house.
My fffc: my dad will be here at 5 today and my house is a wreck. I miss the days when he had to catch a flight to get here . Now he's not too far away (in little rock) so he comes for the weekend often. The first thing he does when he comes to me and my sisters houses is walk around and see how clean it is. Too much pressure.
Pedi told us to wait on strawberries because of allergies when we start solids. Our families have no history of allergies so I take it with a grain of salt. I remember someone in D14 letting LO nurse a strawberry so I let LO lick/suck a piece yesterday and she tried to bite it! Got excited and scared at the same time!

If he's going to be doing that, give him some cleaning supplies and tell him to get it up to his standards! No thank you.

Our pedi told us strawberries and tomatoes. I would love to give him strawberries though they are my favorite

Tomatoes?! That is a new one to me! She also said eggs? Anyone heard of that one?

My mom is allergic to strawberries so we are holding off on those. I've heard of eggs. Not tomatoes, but I'm kinda paranoid about allergies, so I'll hold off on those, too.

Mine goes right along with the solids talk but is also kind of a WTF-TMI-FFFC. I'm not in any hurry to do solids either, so far I've just let LO try some banana here and there when I'm eating one. But last night I was changing her diaper and noticed her poop smelled very different, like older baby/toddler poop instead of the regular EBF baby smell, and I freaked out. I told DH that I was worried they had given her some baby food at daycare or accidentally given her some baby's bottle of formula. Then I realized how fucking insane I sounded worrying about how my baby's poop smelled. WTF me.

That's what I always imagine my dad is doing when he comes to my house, but he's never said anything. Just silently judges me. I'm sorry your dad puts that much pressure on you though, that stinks!

He's a dick. Last time he came Lo was 2 months old and he kept poking my stomach and saying "ya got 2 more weeks to lose that shit, before youre just a fat ass" lol ok. It's a wonder me and my sister don't have major body issues. I love him anyway even if he is an asshole.
gdaniels77 Lo had a different consistency diaper the other day and dh walked in as o had it up to my face studying it, he asked me if I thought he was sick and I said no it doesn't have that sickly smell. Apparently I am a poop expert.

I have full intentions of making lactation cookies this weekend because I want cookies and I know DH won't eat them. I don't need them for lactation purposes.
ETA the last sentence is important to the confession. Duh.
I'd totally make normal cookies and tell him they were lactation. How would he know the difference?

This is a great idea! I'm going to start calling some foods my "lactation ______" and then DH won't eat them. He doesn't know there aren't lactation chips/candy/leftover lasagna

How have I never thought of this before?!? Genius.
Haha kind of the same thing but when my kids were little and I didn't want to share chocolate with them, I'd tell them it had medicine in it. I wish it still worked now I have to hide in my room.
