Saintelizabeth, wow! I'm so glad you're going home so soon! Good to know that she will look worse and worse for the first 72 hours until the swelling goes down. I will definitely just focus on what is directly in front of me for now, and we will cope with the surgery when it happens. I will keep you posted!
I was thinking about you all weekend while I was AWOL from TCF, so I'm very glad to come back to see this. Add me to the list of crying D14ers. I'm so happy that everything went smoothly, and that your family will be going home soon. Your little one clearly gets her strength from the both of you. God bless, and prayers that things continue to go smoothly at hone as well.
What a tough little sweet girl and tough mom ! I'm so glad her surgery was a success and you guys get to go home! Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!
Oh my goodness, bless her sweet little heart. I'm so glad it went well & you all will be in my prayers as she continues to recover. What a tough baby girl. Keep us updated on her progress!
Our LO had her surgery on Monday and everything went great! We are leaving the hospital later today. The swelling is still pretty insane, and the recovery has been more difficult than expected, but I think we're getting over the hump. I hope Adeline is fully recovered now and you're all doing great!

I'm so glad everything went well with your LOs surgery!! It's crazy how quickly after leaving the hospital Adeline bounced back. Today her scar looks a lot better and her sleep is finally back to what is was before her surgery. Besides the scar she is acting just as she was before.
The first week home was rough for me as well because she was still healing and adjusting to being back at home but I'd say 8 days after we returned home everything started to go back to normal.
Good luck with your LO! I hope healing goes quickly let me know how recovery is going!
Thanks, everyone! saintelizabeth, I'm glad things shouldn't take too long to return to normal. We're just taking it one day at a time here. Today both of Emma's eyes are open! (They both swelled shut for a couple of days post-surgery.) And we are getting some smiles! She is still pretty tender on her head and has trouble sleeping, but I think each day will get better and better. I'm just glad she's healthy!
