Wow it is dead around here. DD ate like crap yesterday. I was pissed at dh because he decided yesterday morning that we would drive 3 hours to go to an art festival with his family. I was mad about dragging my dd who's been sick all week all over just because she didn't throw up for 1 day. MIL just kept making it worse with stupid comments about how maybe dd just didn't feel good. I'm pretty sure I flat out said that's why we shouldn't be here out loud to her and she still didn't get the picture.
I'm on a business trip. This is the 4th one I've been on since ML, but I'm finding it harder to be away. Partly it's because this location is a PITA to get to and I had to leave Sunday morning to catch a flight and then drive to a different state. When I'm away on a weekday I only miss 2-3 hours of DS awake time, but on a weekend :-(
Also, DS is getting so much more of a personality that I hate missing.
^^^to my post above, this is exactly how I'm expecting the patients at work to be today. Assholes.
If they are anything like the rush of people we had show up to the ED this morning at 6 am I'm sorry. Monday mornings are always the worst, nobody wants to go to work so they decide its a good time to come in for the pain/problems they've had for 2 weeks.
Ok I have to bitch. H's parents are having what they keep calling a family reunion this weekend. Except it's not a fucking family reunion when it's just us (cousins, parents, grandparents). It's fucking Christmas in May. So my nephew is graduating high school Saturday and H is pouting about going. He'd rather just go to the "family reunion". Dude I said we can go half a day. Not to mention your grandmother is in the middle of chemo! I DOUBT she has energy for this shit. Also, I'm not sure how you thought being outside all day long with a baby was going to go any how. I already compromised and said we don't have to go to graduation but I would like to go to the party because he's my nephew and I haven't seen him in a fucking year! Then once kids hit this age the REALLY never come around! So irritating. I have to hang out all the time with your parents and I do not say shit. And the only reason IL's are making a big deal out of it is because of DD. They just want us to bring her, otherwise they would give ZERO FUCKS. END RANT

So we went down to SIU for my baby brother's graduation on Friday. It took 7 hours instead of 5 due to traffic. We went out to dinner and then went back to where we were supposed to stay, which were cute little cabins my dad reserved. We get there, and the clubhouse where we're supposed to check in is pitch black. I go on the website and it says we're supposed to check in before 9. It's 9:38. My mom calls the number, and the woman who answers asks if we made reservations before January. We made them in November. THEN she tells us that in January the previous owners were escorted out by the cops for tax evasion and they left no record of any reservations. And they are booked. So my dad loses his entire shit. The manager comes out to try and help us find a hotel, which is impossible because it's graduation weekend and every hotel has been booked for weeks. They finally find us a place an hour and ten minutes away. Meanwhile I have DS in the back and my grandparents are with us. We didn't get into our rooms until midnight. We stayed in the cabins we were supposed to stay in on Saturday night, but man, that was stressful as fuck. THEN at the hotel the next morning, the door to our room must not have shut all the way when we went to breakfast and someone came in and stole my mom's ipad.
Total shit show. On the up side, DS may not be a sleeping unicorn but he is a car unicorn, because he never cries until we're like 20 minutes from home and always takes extremely long naps. He was the best kid in the car.
Had a busy weekend. My mother came into town Saturday for a work convention, so she stayed with us until it was time to check into her hotel because she didn't want to ride a bus up this way. She is in a very good mood for some reason, so I am suspicious. I'm hoping she stays like this at least until she leaves town.
I just got to work and I already don't want to be here. I can't wait until the end of Thursday, which is my Friday this week--four day weekend! I'm debating taking Wednesday and Thursday off to clean house because I can't stand it anymore. I will have to ask my supervisor if he's in when I get out of the pump closet.
Anyway, I hope all of you guys had a great weekend and that this week isn't starting off too poorly for you!

mrsbabe614 DH is like that with my family. Makes a huge deal about doing things with my extended family every time regardless of a conflict. So annoying! Hope he comes around to doing your nephews graduation.
Morning ladies! This weekend was nuts, just on the go from morning till night with cleaning, work around the house and taking care of DD.
I have also realized that since weaning, my boobs have turned into pancakes that now reside on my chest. I am now 100% getting a boob job once I am done having babies.
It took no time to go from from pregnant and "voluptuous" to saggy old lady.

Ugh. Another reason I fear weaning. The reality of pancake bewbs. The other is this:

Um, yeah. Right there with you re: boobs. Only mine only went up a cup size from A to B, and now they're a very very sad, saggy, deflated A again. I was like welp, now I am most definitely buying boobs when I'm done with babies. Fuck this.
