We had a difficult night and I woke up to hurtful news. H is gone this evening, too. I have very little chocolate in the house... I might be making a trip to the store to change that.
Hope things get better soon. I recommend making cookie dough and freezing it for a quick sweet fix. I love my sweets

mander82 I noticed a difference in Lilly within 24 hours of her being on Zantac. She hates taking it, but it seems to help.
I swear this kid tries to see how many times she can make mommy cry before finally going to bed for the night. Once she is out she does pretty well and sleeps 3-5 hours at a time, but getting her to sleep is so frustrating. I get her to sleep and think she's out and then 2 seconds later she is wide awake ad screaming. I don't mind the walking and rocking and swinging, but the screaming pushes me owe the edge every time and then I feel like a terrible mother. I know every baby is different, but I don't remember my first being like this at all.
Also, do most babies like to be swaddled, or do they usually rage against it? I've started swaddling Lilly because she keeps trying to get her thumb and getting pissed off and it's causing her to wake every 20-30 minutes at night. She doesn't seem to be a fan, but once she's asleep it's better.
Oh geez lissydee, I hope your LO gets all that poop out before you take them into the grocery store or restaurant. Maybe you aren't taking them to dinner with you? That would be epic timing....lol.
I was nervous about taking Giovanni for groceries, I can't imagine having 3 kiddos in tow! Good luck, I hope they do well for you!
I love how they changed it to say I gave love tits when I love something now. That makes me happy.
all 3 are going! We've already taken them all out to eat twice before and it was okay! We just go to family friendly places where its NBD if they are loud.
We take our kids out to eat frequently; generally, we just go to places with counter service (as opposed to being waited on) so we've already paid and can leave quickly if we need to. Qdoba, Chipotle, and Boston Market are our main go-tos these days. Also, when I take all (or most) of them to the store, I try to go to Target or Walmart because they have these awesome carts that fit all four kids. I've got a really old picture of the three oldest in one.
I'm sitting here on the couch next to LO as he poops... am I the only one that cries laughing almost every time their LO poops? He makes the FUNNIEST faces while he's pushing.
YES. His facial expressions/grunting get me every time. And then because I laugh, he laughs, which makes me laugh even harder.
((Hugs)) to all the ladies having a rough day. Keep your head up, we're here for you.
knitsmagee John likes being swaddled, but he now likes his arms out, so trying to swaddle him is pretty much impossible. Arms out defeats the purpose, so I've given up swaddling.
]I'm super depressed today. It's my last day of maternity leave with LO. I go back to work tomorrow. [whole leave, I've been planning on only going back part time. This past week, DH and I had a sit down and decided it'd be smarter for me to go back full time for awhile since I make more money than him. it's still going to be so heart wrenching saying goodbye to her.
Sorry that is sucky....I'm also dreading returning to work in a week. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about leaving him all day. I love my work but am really wishing I could stay home with him for at least six months. I can't justify it though ? Luckily I will be able to work from home at least two days per week for a while and I'm hoping that will help ease the transition.

mander82- I completely understand. Last night I just stared at him and was like whoa he is mine and I made him. I never thought I would get to be a Mommy.
Is there anything I can do for my LO's congestion and cough? We have a humidifier running at night already. I talked to the nurse yesterday because I was afraid it would turn into something more. She didn't seem concerned since he is not running fever. She suggested to put Vicks on his feet. Of course I googled and it seems like this is a bad idea. Anything else I can try or do I just let it run its course?

I'm having so much trouble getting LO to take a bottle now. She would take one fine about a month ago, but now no such luck. I go back to work in 2 weeks, so we really need to get a handle on this now. My poor baby can't starve:( H is being absolutely no help either. He just gets frustrated when she keeps crying and won't take the bottle, which causes her to get more pissed. H actually told me more than once that I need to stop breastfeeding (and EP) so she'll take a bottle. Not doing that, so much more work for me when I'm home on my days off. Also, my son wouldn't BF, so I'm really enjoying the bonding time. However, I really think he needs to quit bitching at me to stop breastfeeding and be more proactive in getting her to take a bottle as well.
dannielle87 Have you tried other nipples? Trickery? Bribing? (Just kidding on the bribing)
Husbands are dense about breast feeding. Since day 4 mines has kept saying "wouldn't bottles be easier?"... Uh for who? I hope your husband sticks with it!
lissydee I am so impressed that you are able to run errands with all your kids! I have been terrified to take my one to the store! ninergirl52 that is awesome a photographer fit you in for free! My husband does photography and personally I would tip enough to cover her editing time, that is the most time consuming part!
Speaking of my husband, he is driving me crazy! My parents are coming in this weekend and our house is destroyed. I find it hard to get anything done with my Velcro baby who doesn't like to be worn and hubby comes home after work and takes a two hour nap! Ahhhh! Thanks for the vent!
mamaweston1121 What would you or your husband recommend? It's a new photographer so she is charging less than one hundred for everyone. I realize this is a great deal so want to be sure I tip appropriately. Thoughts? I have no idea what the editing time would be. Thanks for the insight!
Edited to add: @knitsmaggee - I have always swaddled my LO with his arms out & he loves it. He hates having his arms swaddled.

I feel lame that I'm not responding to all of the intro threads. I'm trying to like them all, but I seriously hope no one thinks I'm picking and choosing. So if you're reading this and I missed your thread... I'm happy you're here!

mamaweston1121 YH needs to get on the ball! Are you on leave or a SAHM? Either way, there's got to be some better arrangement for household chores than that!
knitsmagee we discussed swaddling in one of the other side's threads, and at first I thought my baby was weird because she just willingly puts her hands down to be swaddled, but a lot of other babies like it/don't mind it too! Here's hoping yours gets to loving swaddling soon - so you can get some peace! Hugs!
Thanks for the well wishes for the shots. It was very stressful. I heard a cry from DD that I've never heard before, and she was difficult to console. So was I! I ugly cried right there in the office. But she was fine as soon as we left the building, and has been sleeping and snuggling since. (I didn't get my donuts beforehand, but I did get a mocha for the way home!)

ninergirl52 Since she is new and doing it fairly cheap I would tip probably 15-20 dollars. Depending on how well you know the program it can take a couple hours to edit all the photos. MH has been doing it for over 15 years so he costs a little more so I am glad you told the price! Honestly she is probably just happy to build her portfolio! Are you getting the rights to the photos or do you have to buy prints from her? That makes a difference as well.
zengal I am on leave and terrified on what is going to happen when I return to work. He got an earful last night so we shall see if it gets better!

wildflower810 hope everything is ok, I agree, go splurge on the good chocolate you deserve it.
clarkkentismyae that's bs they scheduled it like that when they could see it wasn't exactly 6m yet. hopefully it works out for you and your DH next with having to reschedule it aga]in.
good luck to everyone with shots today!
HutterFlutter I know how you feel. I go back on Monday (just checked and they actually forgot to schedule me, so emailing my manager as we speak haha). I excited bc I work with my friend and I miss her a lot, and adult interaction will be nice. But I'm going to miss Henry so much. I'd go back to pj's and cuddles all day with him everyday if we could afford it.

ashleymm197 They tried to do the same thing today. I told them that they needed to make sure DS's next appointment was exactly two months from today and they tried to schedule it for the 19th of March. -_-

Thanks ladies! I hope she starts to like it more. She sleeps much better swaddled once I get her calmed down and asleep. She wakes up pissed off though and as soon as I unswaddle her the little fist goes right to her mouth.

clarkkentismyae so stupid they tried to do that again. Makes me want to check and make sure Henry's 4mo appt is all set (we apparently aren't having a 3mo one) because DH and I would have a super hard time rescheduling that as well.
kfo22 I agree, I would've used that if I had seen one when I jumped over.
anyone else loving how this tags people? I like that it shows you the picture with the name so you're not tagging some rando with a similar name.
