I don't get the annoyance at the germ talk surrounding daycare. It's simply a scientific fact. As soon as many humans are in contact with one another, the prevalence of illness increases. Small, new humans are particularly susceptible because they don't have built-up immune systems yet. Have you ever looked at epidemiology charts? Most of the shit that kids catch at daycare is highly communicable. If they weren't in close contact with multiple other children per day, they would be less likely to catch shit.
And the fact of the matter is that, yes, every single day we are absolutely assaulted with germs. Literally everywhere, all the time, it's never ending. That is why the human immune system is amazing. It catalogs all that shit and knows when it's seen something before and how to fight it. All kids have to go through it. It's 100% impossible for any human to have gone through their life and "never gotten sick". Probably as a adult your immune catalog is huge so you get sick rarely. But growing up you were getting sick all the time. You might not even remember because it happens so young. My kid is only 3 and very rarely gets sick like he did when he first started daycare.
But you sit on toilet seats bare ass? Like other people's DNA can be on you at any time.
Anyway, my point is to look at what you are doing at home that can strengthen and or weaken the immune system. If it is that big an issue, question the daycare, are they doing what they are supposed to be doing in the cleaning area. Very few do unless being watched - this is from my past experience of inspecting.
And no, every child doesn't get "sick all the time." Like do you hear yourself?
But whatever, think what you want. I am not arguing about it. I expressed my UO.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.
I think there are so many other issues in the world that are way more important than how the playoffs were affected by under inflated balls.
There are way more important issues in the world than 1D too, but it's entertainment for some, ya know. We all have our things we enjoy to distract us from those more important issues.

How does it feel to have your perspective on life be so wrong?
What about the kid that goes to school and never gets sick? What about the kid that has never been to a school or daycare and is sick? What about people that work with sick people but never get sick?
I'm just saying maybe look and see what you can be doing to boost or bust your immune system.
There are exceptions to every generalization. My son has been extremely sick in his 3.5 years. Always catches everything. We've had his immune system checked and everything was normal, so why is he getting sick all the time? I don't understand your push back on how daycares/schools are freaking germ factories.
I don't see where I said they were clean? Please point that out.
My UO was about everything being blamed on daycares and schools. What about home? Are the other people in the home sick a lot?

LOL apparently I follow the figure skating more closely than I thought. haha I swear Scott's comment in another article "I was blessed to have that seat for seven Olympics," Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic champion, said in a text message. "I always had the best interests of skating and the skaters at heart. I never wanted it to be about me, and I still don't. I wish them great success." is a backhanded dig at the duo for taking his place.
OMG though, did you guys know that Closing Time is about having children, not a bar closing? Semi mind blowing.
Omg. "This room won't be open til your brothers or your sisters come". How did I miss that?
I found this out a few years ago but I didn't get the references. Then I saw a video with the writer of the song at a concert explaining the whole thing and I was all "Ohhh!"

Also - and I have covered this before - it all starts with shit.
Most of the ailments mentioned here started with shit somewhere. So, I don't think it is ALL to be blamed on kids being germy. If you looked at the charts that you are referring me to you would see that most of the highly communicable stuff they catch started with shit and was likely passed by the adults that change diapers and come into contact with shit. Most of the stuff is passed the fecal to oral route not just sprouted from kids.

I'm confused. Does the other team use a completely separate set of balls (tee!)for all their offensive plays or the same balls (hee!)? If it's the same balls, wouldn't they benefit just as much because of the under-inflated balls (hee hee!) as the Pats? I would ask MH but don't feel like hearing a twenty minute rant about it.

Lol I mean of course there are more important issues, but that could be said of like the majority of things people talk about here and IRL.

I understand that plenty of children easily potty train before three, and if you had one of these children I'm very happy for you. But I think it shows, at the very least, a failure to consider physiological appropriateness on the part of many preschools to have decided three is the magic age where all kids should be PT.
I fully agree that if a child poops or whatever, the parents have to be prepared to come deal with it, but the idea that a child should be denied preschool - which I personally feel is a critical component of early education - because they aren't PHYSICALLY ready to hold their urine with consistency is absurd.
And I think it forces a lot of parents to stress and force something on a kid who simply isn't ready, and is perfectly developmentally appropriate in their not being ready.
I could not agree with you more.
Like our daycare will not put Addie in a pull up at nap time since her 3 year old room is supposed to be potty trained. How can you expect a kid to be physiologically ready to hold their pee when they are asleep if they just aren't?

I think royals are interesting. Idk we don't have anything like that in the states so the whole world is just fascinating to me. Add in some attractive and seemingly down to earth "normal" women that have married into the family (Diana and Kate) and more interest is sparked.
