I hate when people workout/run with their hair down. It just seems silly! You are going to sweat down your neck, and onto your hair. To me, if you have your hair and make up done going to the gym or for a run, it looks like you are trying way too hard to impress others.

I think that baby classes are a waste of time. I had my first daughter at 20 and after I had her the nurses came in and showed me what to do, how to hold her, take care of her belly button, swaddle, change, and feed her. Also a lactation consultant came in and helped me with the breastfeeding. My point is I am seeing a lot of people talk about these classes, and they get stressed if they cannot get in or end up taking them late. And its like 3-4 classes! Huh? Ain't nobody got time for that! This must be a new trend or something because I am confused, or maybe I just had really good nurses or something?

A lot of hospitals (mine included) do not have a lot of LC's- they have maybe 3 doing rounds every day. They don't have time to see all new moms. So going to a BF class ahead of time would be beneficial.

Yes I can understand that one. Breastfeeding can take a toll and be frustrating, but the others, idk. Sometimes I lurk on the other boards and see the women talking about these classes and then after they take them most of them say they were a waste of time or that they did not learn anything new, or that the instructor was not that good. Every now and then I see a new mom that says there were benefits though.

It seems like taking a breastfeeding class ahead of time would be kind of pointless. Like unless the baby is there and things are happening, just talking about it doesn't seem so helpful. I was thinking about reading a book on it, but I definitely can't see myself taking a class.

I bought a $400 pump, had 100% planned on breast/pump feeding. I barely produced anything! I could not breast feed no matter how hard I tried.
If I had taken a class it would have been a waste of time and money. Unless the baby is here and you KNOW you can breastfeed it is pointless.

This is kinda what happened with DD. It took forever for my milk to come in and then when it did, it didn't last very long. I think it was a total of 3 weeks from beginning to the very end. I am going to try again but I hope it turns out better this time.

I would love to be able to breastfeed. I'm hoping that this time around will be easier as well.

We might still have hope. My sister couldn't breastfeed with my niece and nephew but with her 3rd child she was able to do it for almost a year. So I am hoping this would be the case for me too.
I love dunkin donuts and Ive been looking forward to them all week. DH and I are going tomorrow after I sign him out. BUT I understand. Krispy creme is definitely better. Dunkin is just way closer lol
I just spent the last 20min trying to find a Krispy Kreme on my way to Toronto tomorrow. Maybe I'll send my husband over to Detroit tonight for a box... hmmm....

I felt the same way about birthing classes. My mom kept pushing me to take one before I had E and not only did I not want to spend the $100, but I also didn't want to waste a full Saturday at the hospital talking about breathing. I was just fine.

I already have this feeling about birthing classes. The only thing I think I want to do is the hospital tour.
I can see doing birthing classes if you are really committed to a natural birth. I just am not one of those people. I already plan to just do what the doctor tells me to. If I didn't feel comfortable with that, I would find a different doctor. Maybe after this first kid is out of the way, I will change my tune with future kids. If we ever do this again.
I still watch Greys, but it has gone WAY downhill. I've watched from the first episode though so I wanted to see it to the finish. I don't know how many more seasons I can watch though...

I'm also a really laid back person and generally go with the flow on most things, the birthing process being no exception. I didn't want an epidural if I could help it, and ended up not getting one. I think, for me, it was a lot of just making myself calm and doing what I knew was best for me. If you're good at listening to your body, it just comes naturally.
My UO is that I do not find Bradley Cooper attractive. I really don't think I'd take a second look if I saw him walking down the street.
I cannot stand Bradley Cooper! I feel like he has spit in the corners of his mouth permanently, and laughs through his nose, so every time he laughs he shoots out snot!

Sorry really graphic but I think he is so gross.
Erin2021 how are you totally inside my head. Yes, that's exactly it!
