Personally, it's not a, "How many months were you here?" thing. It's a, "Do I know who the fuck you are?" thing. Example: mistabinx, I knew who you were when you checked in even though you were only on the board for 2 months.
I think the same rules apply to Grad check-ins as do BFPs. Just my opinion though.
This.
This is why I put the side eye - if you participated a ton then great! But if you came for a month or two and only posted in the TWW/WTO thread I'm like "ok...that's nice...share it with your BMB"
This. She's a sweet girl. It would have just been more appropriate on the TWW thread. She intro'd 5 days before the dump died.
My UO: I don't like steering drive-bys to the TWW thread. If they haven't been participating there at least for most of the TWW, I don't want to hear about their BFP. Also, I wish we had a weekly version of WTO and TWW. I like to check-in sometimes, but not every day!
Every day is a lot. I've been participating in each TWW threads in order to participate (duh) since I'm new. Hoping that maybe some day I'll get a BFP and feel confident that I'm not a drive by. But I also try to post and contribute in other threads as well.
I don't care for tattoos with color in them. I am getting a tattoo with my sisters today (we are doing our birth flowers and the initial D -all of our names start with Ds) and I am a little hesitant because mine is a daisy so there will be yellow in it.
For the record, Other people can seriously pull off color tattoos, I just would worry about clashing with clothes because of all the colors.
I had always felt that way about colored tattoos, until I saw the colored one my sister recently got. It's amazing, and its the only tattoo I've ever seen that made me want to have my black and white one covered up with something with color.
TWW is always a good place to get squees, regardless if you've been participating in the threads or not. That's why we say it's more appropriate to post BFPs there...but ultimately, BFPs should be posted in the person's BMB.
As for a weekly TWW/W2O...I mean, there aren't rules about how often you have to participate in them. People are always moving from one to the other, so if you just randomly pop in once a week, no one is going to side-eye you. I found those threads to be very helpful when I was new, and I still post in them when I feel like it.
Eh I don't know about BFPs in TWW. I still hang out there a bunch. I don't post every day but I do go in every day and answer questions. But I still don't like seeing cycle 1 BFPs in there. Because really it's the TWW, if it's cycle 1 then we only had a few weeks to get to know you. Which is not much. Just move on.
ETA: I think it should be the same rules in TWW. If someone is going to miss you, then go ahead and post. If not then just move on. For the most part we aren't perched on the edge of our seats waiting for your BFPs if you've only been here a few weeks (obviously there are some exceptions to this).
So much of the bolded. However, I understand that I can just not go into TWW if I don't feel like seeing BFP on cycle 1.

What? I'm pretty sure this is what everyone is saying...

Also, there is someone who volunteers here, who is apparently unable to email me back. Even if something doesn't require a response she calls and has to talk to me for 20+ minutes. Sorry, I don't have time. If all I did was email to tell you that x number of people signed up, you don't need to call me and say YAY.
20 minutes! phone conversations should be 3-5 minutes period. Say what you want to say and get off the damn phone. I don't care about how you have to make pasta salad for 30 people coming over to your house this weekend. I. Don't. Care.
Yes I hate it. I usually end up saying something like "itsnicetohearfromyouhavegooddayoopsgottogo"*click*
My UO is that I'm done with snow. In fact, I was done a month ago. I live where everyone skis, snowboard, sleds, etc and they're all so happy. I'm done, sick of it actually ...

I love color tattoos on other people, I just can't get myself to get one with color in it. In fact I am kinda jealous of people who can pull off sleeves. I would never get one though.
Edit to add: this is what we are getting without the colorsplash background.
I don't see how people can like Two and a Half Men. The jokes are lame and forced. It's painful to watch.
Nickelback is just big fat NO.
Two and Half Men is probably the worst show I've ever seen on tv. You're right, the "jokes" are awful. It's the only show I can't have on for white noise, it irritates me even then
I can't speak for everyone, but I found Charlie humourous. I'd rather watch Two and a Half Men than some Real Housewives of Somewhere or The Bachelor.

I love my colored tattoo and get a lot of compliments on it:)
How is not liking Beyoncé or Taylor UOs? Not everyone does love them. Maybe I'm missing something?
With all the name changing, a couple BFP drive byes will be missed. Her post was easy to know because she didn't use the proper format.
My UO: I think that Obama isn't as bad as a president that everyone makes him out to be. May not be a UO here, but on FB and the media that's all people say about him.

+1.
All of mine are either black & gray or just straight blackwork. And I have one that has a white moon.
I'm a ginger with a lot of red undertone to my skin so I just can't imagine that anything color would come out nice.

Those are nice! Is the one on the lower left a larkspur for July? My sister has a tattoo going up her side with larkspurs.

No its a Gladiolus for August. That's my oldest sisters birth flower.
