And also.. I may kill my dog. 1:50am is not the time to whine for me to let you out to get a drink and go poop! At least wait for DS to wake me up! Grrr..
H bought me a spa day as a present for giving birth. He rarely has time off during the weekend so I'm using it today and sending LO to grandma daycare. She hates when people are off and do not have time with their child so I will be pretending like I'm going to work but actually go home, chill out for about 45 min, wash my makeup off, change clothes and go have my spa day. I'll be done around 130 but H said to chill out and do stuff for myself and he'll pick up LO at 430. Muahahahaha
I also made the transition to giving LO 1-2 bottles of formula per day. My supply has been too low and it did not help I was sick on and off with a sinus infection for the past month. I am just grateful I was able to make it this long. It has been a challenge to pump at work, but still been able to do it twice there. It does make things a lot easier! I am glad I don't have to worry about pumping right away when I get home from work.
LO also likes the tv too. He gets distracted in the morning watching the AM news sometimes!!
I don't usually play, but after UO yesterday I feel like I have one. I plan to homeschool both of my girls and any other future children. In my defense, I do have a masters in Elementary Education, Intermediate Math, and Reading.
I always do kookooma cute Minnesota accent in my head when I read her posts. I've started doing lululemon too.
Whaaat? Ya you betcha. Its catchy. Pretty soon you and LO will be talkin' like me.
It's totally catchy! It's such an easy friendly accent. lululemon yes, the Aussie accent. I'm not very good at that one in my head but it still happens...
Miss Killjoy i met a Canadian girl at who was traveling at work a couple of years ago. I loved her accent. A few people thought she was irish.
Was she from Newfoundland or the east coast, do you know? Some Newfoundland accents sound VERY reminiscent of Irish accents! Don't tell them that though...
Mine does not sound like that. I mostly sound like unaccented North American English until I say something with ou in it. Our rural accents (mine comes out if I spend enough time with my family or get drunk) sound like Minnesota accents almost. My French accent is clearly Québécois though. And because I work in French, some of my English pronunciation is wonky. I'm a bad example of Canadian accents basically unless I'm saying "house" or something.
Minnesota and Canadian accents can be quite similar. Or so I've been told. We never have a problem with that and coexist peacefully until hockey season.
My FFFC: same as lululemon he's mesmerized by the TV! Part of our morning routine consists of LO watching The Price is Right while I clean things up around the house.
Do you guys think investing in some Baby Einstein videos would make me feel less guilty about this? LOL
Baby Einstein videos for the win!! I bought some at a consignment sale and LO adores them! I can get things done around the house while he is watching them.
Lol I say "ya you betcha!" and "you know" way too much. I've had tables say "yep we are definitely in Wisconsin" when I serve them.
Okay my fffc is bad. Edit: not a bad outcome! I bed share with LO and earlier this week I woke up to a *thump* and then crying. LO fell out of bed!!! I about died. Thankfully I'm currently sleeping about 6 inches off the ground. But it was her wake up time, so I'm guessing she was stretching and stretched a little too far. She usually goes right back to sleep after I feed her but I had to keep her awake because I wasn't sure if she hit her head. Ugh. I felt terrible, she was completely fine but I'll never forget it. My mom tried to make me feel better by saying I fell out of their bed all the time.

If you bed share, this will happen at least once. It's Ok! It hasn't happened with my littlest (yet, knock on wood) but the older two both did it once or twice that I can recall. if not the bed, then a couch or chair or something. That's what skulls are for.
@jester88 thanks for that link! I had been getting down thinking that my supply is dropping but I now know that it's his 6 month growth spurt kicking in which had made me feel much more confident.
I was reluctant to post my FFFC but here goes! When I was recovering from my csection, I took home a bunch of those disposable mesh underwear bc I had a lot of pain at the incision site. I got so used to wearing them that I ask DH to get them for me to keep some on hand at home. I'm happy I'm not spending money on granny panties and I enjoy the ventilation.

I love Canadian phrases too, like Cheers! I used to work for a Canadian company and our conference calls always left me in a pleasant mood.

I kind of want my H to work out. Not crazy body building, I'm not into the bulky look, but just a little here or there so he doesn't end up looking like his dad's twin. My FIL when he was younger looked disturbingly similar to my H now so it's a weird glimpse into the future.
My FFFC is that I started answering work emails from Asia during DS's MOTN feeding. Someone started asking if they could call to discuss the issue and I quickly put my phone down. I paid for it by not being able to fall back asleep.
I have a weird accent my mom is from here (eastern nm) so we have the west Texas accent. My dads from Boston so I say certain words like he does, or words no one uses here like bureau. I spent the beginning of my life in England where I went to preschool so I had a major British accent until we moved back to the states.
Did anyone read the crazy confession article on cafe mom ? I'll see if I can find it. The confessions included a lady who left her 5 month old twins home alone while she drove friends home. Yikes!!!!!

Now you have to post a video of yourself telling a story so we can hear you
Hahah i promise I don't sound too weird ! I just say yall a lot and drop a lot of my "r" sounds like those Boston folks do.
I don't have much of an accent unless I'm around certain family members or with certain words like y'all and fixin to
Now I'm going to sound silly - everyone doesn't say fixin' to?
I can tell who DH is talking to on the phone by how he answers. He doesn't believe me, but he sounds so different when he talks to people from home versus anyone else.
I always say fixin to. "Im fixin to run to the store" what else am I supposed to say ?

Do you say pocketbook? My grandma (from Brooklyn, but now lives in MA) says that and it has always amused me.
Nope, my dad does though. I always thought it was funny they called sprinkles "jimmies" my brothers name is jimmy so it cracked me up when I was little.
@dbdlz I do baby einstein (and other kids stuff) from YouTube on the iPad. LO loves it.
FFFC: after the gun debate I'm actually curious about everyone's political views now. I don't want to really open that can of worms because it's never a good idea to talk polotics in mixed company, but I'm super curious.
Here's a fffc for my husband. Him: I want to make a big pond in the backyard. Me: okay just build a fence around it so the baby doesn't accidentally fall in and drown. Him: ugh I don't want to build a gate. Me: well your s.o.l then. Him: *gasp* I know! I'll just put a hot wire around it ! Me: are you serious right now? Him: yeah, he would only touch it once and I bet he would never try to go near it again. Me: -__-
