Last summer, some friends of ours were living in a camper in a super private "camping" community. A lot of people live there year round though. It has water, power hookups, community center, etc. anyway, it's on private property in the middle of the woods and they have paved roads that go through the entire place. The speed limit is 5pm and there are speed bumps every "block". We would go visit them and justin would let Layla sit in the front seat with him to "drive" around the lot. I don't think it was terribly unsafe. The likeliness of anyone going fast enough over hella speed bumps to really cause an accident would be extremely low. She is probably in more danger just going for a walk in our neighborhood that doesn't have sidewalks.

Andplusalso how cute is she?
Flame away.
I drove with my dad like this on my Grandparent's farm. It's one of my favorite memories. I hope Layla enjoys that memory for a long time too.
You're right, the hiding part isn't true but certain folks only come over when it gets juicy and that's fine. I would too!
*waves*
Hiding wasn't the right word. I originally was going to say "out of the woodwork" and lost my train of thought. I like that it ups participation, but I know it's no coincidence that 20 people who haven't been on here in months showed up yesterday for the show. It's more of a dig at the Facebook group that is too busy to be over here but care about DarkStar for some reason. Also, sorry for the typo. Damn mobile always auto corrects "out".
I learned to drive when I was 10 because my dad was too drunk to pick up my siblings. We lived in the country. Safe? Probably not. But I thought I was the shit.

When we took the motor home trip to New Jersey for Thanksgiving, I only put DS in his car seat while he was sleeping. He was passed around and held the rest of the time. We spent a lot of the trip hanging out in the bed in the back.

I did it with my dad too! Except, you know, actually driving around real streets and shit. Oh, 1980s.

We all care about what happened with NO/DS/riverdancer. Because it's drama that has been happening for a long time. Don't judge because you don't understand it.

Again, I tried to explain this, but we've been invested in this for A LONG TIME. Just because the discussion took place elsewhere doesn't mean people don't have the right to come over and witness it finally play out. And you keep making references to not knowing if it's real. She freaking confessed. It happened. Now we deal with the aftermath.

I distinctly remember driving down actual streets on my Dad's lap when I was little. And I also remember my parents letting my sister and I drive home from my aunt and uncle's house that was like a mile from our house. We would laugh at my sister because she would pump the brakes SO hard.. but she was a 10 year old driver.

I used to ride on the tailgate of my dad's truck when we went camping at Yosemite. On the mountain back roads. But it was so much fun and I was like 8.
Yes, pnwlover12 L is a freaking doll! I want to squeeze her!

And I mean...I think people were pretty ducking nice about it. Not many people who have invested into each other as much as we have, would be cool with knowing of someone in the group who was lying about who they are AFTER being caught lying about who they are.

FFFC: I like that you say what you are thinking and DGAF.
ETA: and you are right that people come over when it gets exciting. That's a fact but I don't see anything wrong with that.

That's why you liked my arch nemesis, dana2die4 too.

That makes sense to me (both @pnwlover and WWF). Can someone fill me in: is DarkStar in the Facebook group? Is that why the conversation was over there?

She's not. That's why the discussion was over there.

You weren't involved in the beginning or you would remember, so I don't know why you care. Shit got real, she was banned, came back as someone new, wwf figured it out, we've all decided to not make a big deal out of it. The end.

I absolutely came back yesterday to find out what happened with that. I wanted closure. In a perfect world I would have the luxury to spend as much time here as I want, but the ugly truth is that I don't.
Until that happens, I will come and go as I please. Thank you very much.

Also, can I just say that I don't know why everyone thinks regs don't get called out. Me and nicb are frequently referred to as assholes or any of the other various "nicer" terms people use. I may not be a reg of PB right now, but I am a GD OG of O14.

And spurp13's post about regs not being called out WAS calling us out! Well, calling me out.
Yesterday's reveal was entertaining, but not surprising--we all were pretty sure of it already. We all needed it to be said so we could stop talking and speculating about it.
