boobacat extra thoughts to you and your baby girl. It's good and hard to know all of that. ((Hugs)) ellebelle yay 17! So glad it went well! I don't know all about the next steps and how long the rest of the process is, but keep us posted! Fingers crossed for good results from PGS testing!
boobacat, I'm so sorry. I can imagine that the mix of emotions is probably pretty tough so sending extra thoughts and hugs your way. ellebelle, glad it went well and fingers crossed that the rest of the process goes smoothly for you.
unringthebell - We will find out sometime today how many were mature and fertilized. Then we'll get a report every day until we get to day 5. They take the cell samples on day 5 when they're in the blastocyst stage and send that off to a lab in New Jersey. Then we should hear within two business days about that. Since we were told at LEAST 50% of our embryos will be abnormal if we have less than 6 that make it to day 5 we might do a freeze all and then do a second retrieval. The lab charges a flat fee for the PGS testing for up to 8 embryos and we already pre-paid for a second retrieval as part of our IVF package. I really really hope we don't have to do it though because I'm in a lot of pain from this retrieval right now and it has been a huge nightmare with my work (they are not understanding to say the least). Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! I'll keep you updated!
ellebelle fingers crossed for good reports! I hope you're doing okay today. I'm sorry your work is not understanding at all I hope the day goes by quickly so you can go home and relax a bit!
I just made an appt with a new OB/GYN office. I had used a MW when I had DS and I just feel like I need a higher level of care at this point. And they were pretty crappy during my second loss. My initial appt with this new doctor isn't until the first week of July, but I'm honestly happy with that. These appts can take forever to get. I just want to have a plan in place before we get pregnant again (if we do). I explained that to the receptionist and she was so nice and understanding. I know that making the call doesn't actually mean we have a plan in place yet, haha, but I feel like it was a step in the right direction, and a step towards TTC again. And that feels good.
